You, your little sister Sally, and her best friend Debby have gone up to your family's secluded lakeside cabin for a couple weeks to celebrate Sally and Debby graduating. After unloading the car and moving all the luggage and supplies into the cabin, you, Sally, and Debby have gone down to the lakeside beach to make a bonfire before it gets dark.

You enjoy seeing the lake this time of year, as the sun fades away in late afternoon, casting an array of red and orange hues across the natural sky of trees, clouds, and water.

Debby and Sally are chatting and giggling in that conspiratorial, secretive way that they do as they walk around collecting driftwood for kindling. You smile as you work on getting the fire started. By the time it is dark, you, Debby, and Sally are sitting around a particularly large bonfire, having some drinks and roasting s'mores. You are half-listening to them reminiscing and prattling on, telling stories about school, but as you stare into the fire, you enter a trance.

You watch the fire, mesmerized by the twisting flames as they consume the dry twigs, listening to the cracking and popping sounds they make. You hear Sally and Debby say your name again. You look at the girls.

Sally repeats the question that she and Debby were apparently trying to ask you, "So... are you going to join us for a midnight swim?" Sally and Debby look at you with hopeful eyes.

You look at the lake, dark save for the reflection of the silvery light of the full moon.

"Sure. Let me go grab my swimsuit." you say while you place another log on the bonfire.

"Let's go skinny dipping!" Debby suggests too eagerly. Sally seems to take to this idea.

You look over at the Debby and Sally in surprise. Suggesting skinny dipping is certainly uncharacteristic for the both of them. However, you quite enjoy nightswimming and have no objections. You quickly undress and slip into the cool lake water before the girls have a chance to catch a good look of your naked form.
