You unlock the door to your small, apartment and open it wearily.
"I'm beat..." you mutter, mostly to yourself. "I'm back!"
It had been three years since you've started living on your own. You spend a majority of your day working a dead-end job, and by the time you make it home, there’s little time for cleaning or cooking. Luckily, you managed to find a home appliance that helps with all of that. A simple housekeeping bot by the name of Mina.
"Welcome back, Takuma."
Standing in the kitchen is your robotic maid, dressed quite cutely in the apron she seems so attached to. From the doorway of your apartment, you watch her briefly as she continues to fry something on the portable stove in front of her. She isn’t usually tall enough to reach the counter normally, so she stands on a large, wooden crate she found outside.
Since she was bought preowned for cheap, she can only do the simple stuff like sweeping or washing dishes. It doesn’t bother you much, however, as the simple stuff is all you need most of the time. Her biggest and most notable feature is her cooking. As long as the fridge is stocked, she can randomly select a preloaded recipe to prepare at a certain, selected time. Like now.
"Hey there, Mina," you grin, entering the kitchen. "What's cooking?"
"It is omurice," she states dryly, turning her head towards you. "It is a dish you like."
"That it is. You remember that kind of information, huh?" you chuckle. "But I like you the most, Mina. Care to be my wife?"
Your words cause Mina to stare blankly back at you, piercing you with those all-seeing green eyes of hers. Even at her size, her presence is almost intimidating at times...
"J-just kidding," you stutter with a nervous smile. "Could you bring me a beer too?"
"Certainly," Mina replies, not breaking her stare.
