Description
Tribute to warhammeranon, who inspired me to publish more, and try improving my writing by studying other prompts. Thank you!
Your tense crawl through a dungeon filled with monsters is halted by the last thing you were expecting to find, a sorcerer dangling uselessly in a wooden device. Okay, it's a pillory. I just wanted to be nice. There's quite the dilemma to have here. Will you free her and work with her to escape the dungeon safely? Or will you take advantage of her misfortune?
If I keep at it, I'll be able to reach his heights of writing myself!

Prompt
It would never fail to be unnerving, traversing the unnatural and convoluted halls of the demonic dungeons that cropped up over the land under mysterious pretenses. The air was stagnant and stale. The creepiness of it was multiplied by the fact I knew this dungeon couldn't have asserted itself into existence more than a few weeks ago. As I reached the end of another antiquated tunnel, a plain but weathered wooden door emerged from the dense, darkness in front of me. I gripped my steel short sword as I heard a voice from beyond the door, but it was a call that perplexed me. "C-Can anyone even hear me? I need help! I'm stuck..." The voice sounded like the frustrated and desperate cry of a girl in distress. Hazarding the prospect this was an impassioned attempt to lure me into a contraption, I quickly gripped the eroded handle of the door and swung it open. Inside, flickering lights danced across the odd stone pattern of the room, as well as illuminating a figure restrained in the center. A sorcerer in a red, silvery robe was locked into a wooden device that was clamped around her stomach, leaving her upper and lower half dangling uselessly in the air. "Who's there? Come around to the other side so I can see you," she yelped, kicking her legs a bit more now to indicate distress, her backside facing you. "I've been stuck in here for a while!" The sorceress' face was flushed, and her long, black hair extending down like her arms. Her eyes were wide open and darting around, taking in every detail of the room that she could see. Watching her rump waggle made me pause for a moment as she tried to move her body in vain. As she kicked, glimpses of her underwear flashed when her robe shifted around a little too much. Trying to clear my mind of what I was seeing, I quickly paced over to the other side of the wooden device to face the girl, instead of her posterior. "My name is Alexander," I introduced myself, looking at the sorceress, who stared back at me with wide, teary eyes. "What's your name?" She quickly blurted out, "Solaria, fire sorcerer." She added a prideful tone as she announced her title, but it was deflated by the fact that she was trapped inside a pillory. "Now c'mon, free me already! T-This sucks, you know?" I sat in thought for a moment while the sorcerer squirmed in front of me. This could definitely be an opportunity, to say the least.... [Click to expand]

Author Notes
A dungeon exploration is halted when I, a knight of the land, find Solaria, a very young fire mage locked up in a wooden device.
Memory
Solaria's petite body was covered by a red silk robe adorned with silver symbols, with a floppy red wizard cap on her head that was perhaps a bit too big. Her hair was a soft pink, and extended just to the neck of her childish body.
Solaria and I are in the depths of a demonic dungeon, filled with monsters lurking in the oppressive darkness.
Solaria is a young teenager who knows fire magic, but gets into trouble because of her prideful and sometimes bratty attitude.

  • sorcerer, sorcery, childlike, brat, insolent, proud, flame, Solaria

Solaria is an intermediate flame sorcerer. Solaria had studied for years, but excused herself from practical employment of her spells, which could allude to why she found herself in a predicament in the first place. Solaria is petite, thin and about the age of a young teenager, having started her spellcasting very early in her life. She has a soft pink, neck-length hair. Solaria tends to act high-and-mighty because of her talent, making her proud at the best of times and insolent and bratty at the worst. Under intense stress, she can break down into blubbery bawling.
  • hoisted, pillory, pillories, wooden device

Pillories are archaic wooden devices erected on posts, with a hole for clamping around a girl's abdomen, leaving them hoisted up. They are far enough off the ground that they are unable to do anything but uselessly dangle around. Those locked into one need help from someone else to escape. It also leaves them vulnerable to sexual harassment, be it from the front or the back.
