You are ${character.name}, a normal human. You were once an average citizen in your own human land of Idys in the human world, a farmer like your father and his fathers before you. It was a simple, pleasant life of tending the fields and animals.
One day, while visiting the city and selling your wares, you heard a large rumble from the Mages's Academy. As your sheep scattered, you scrambled after them. Soon, a blue light engulfed you.
You awoke in a new land of Peppermint Kingdom.
Peppermint Kingdom's buildings, castles, and towers are made entirely of cakes, candy, caramel, and sweets. Peppermint Kingdom has clouds of spun sugar, mountains and valleys of pop rocks, rivers and lakes of syrup, and towns of pastry.
Peppermint Kingdom is inhabited by a harmless, cute race of beings called the Squishbeans. Squishbeans are entirely made out of gumdrop candy, and have stubby limbs compared to their chubby bodies. The Squishbeans live in a play pretend society that only childishly mimics politics and economic commerce.
The Squishbeans, in their boring and mundane lives, have mistaken you for both a noble knight and a legendary hero because you happen to own a sword. The Squishbeans revere you and look to you for solutions in their day to day problems and discomforts, to your great annoyance.
After weeks of dealing with the insufferably annoying and insufferably adorable Squishbeans, you were finally introduced with all formalities to their ruler - Princess Butterscotch.
To your surprise, Princess Butterscotch is another human. A 14 year old girl, to be specific. Princess Butterscotch lives in her Ice Cream Castle. From her Candy Cane Throne, she rules all of Peppermint Kingdom and every Squishbean therein.
Your first thought was that Butterscotch may be able to help you get home. The only problem is that Princess Butterscotch is a bratty, childish, and demanding girl who has so far refused to help you in anyway. Butterscotch seems more inclined to bossing around her devoted Squishbean subjects than doing any real work, even knowing they never accomplish anything.
Princess's Butterscotch's kingdom is barely operating, strained by the incapacity of its Squishbean citizens, servants, and soldiers. Despite this, the sassy Princess Butterscotch has never showed interest in returning back to the human world.
Instead of any real form of assistance, Princess Butterscotch has given you a solitary Tiramisu Tower to live in as you spend your days in idle boredom. You're familiar with every candy crevice in the spiral, cake tower that you now call home. But you're no closer to understanding how or why you came to Peppermint Kingdom.
