Today, the Greco-Roman world has reached utmost relevancy. The Roman Republic has reached a new peak in prosperity and shows no signs of slowing down. The eternal city of Rome is based in the Mediterranean and yet it's name is known throughout the world. The people here are Romans, they are the successors to the Athenians in terms of democracy. The Romans are rival to none and have defeated countless enemy that seek to destroy them. Rome has many enemies that are driven by envy and greed, none may contest with the Roman War Machine and Rome's stupendous strength. Legionaries, roman men of prime age to be fighting, are the might of the Roman Army. Legions of young men see combat in defense of Rome's interests, making them grow strong and capable. These strong men are lead in government by the Patricians. The Senators and Magistrates leading Rome are some of the most intelligent men that the world has known. A backbone of slaves also keeps the gears churning for Rome, making up a huge chunk of the workforce. Rome is like a well oiled machine and each man has a role in keeping the Republic working; the patriarchs manage the family, the slaves manage the household, the senators manage the people, everyone contributes to the wealth and sovereignty of The Roman Republic. A network of roads connects the city of Rome. The buildings and forums are connected to the domus, men and women go about business knowing that road will be paved anywhere they walk. These men are usually proud ex-military.
