A year later, you and your sister are 18 years old, but your mother is sick with a terrible curse. You believe that a witch has cursed her. Your mother tells you that you need to get her a Duneflower, and that it's the only cure for her sickness. The only Duneflowers are in the far away lands of De Makros, and you know that if you get a Duneflower, the gods may stop giving you supplies from the Temple of Thelliad. You do it anyway, because you would do anything to save your family. There is a bridge to De Makros, but it is protected by guards. The only way is over the ocean.
