The daring and bratty mage, Liri, strode into the eerie dungeon with her head held high. Her outrageous flowing celestial attire barely concealed her star-patterned panties and emphasized her small figure. The torches lining the walls cast flickering shadows across her freckled face. Though most would quickly be driven away from this cold, creepy sprawl of stone, She instead held a smug expression, absolutely certain that no challenge would be too difficult for a magic-wielder of her caliber.
As she boldly — and casually — strode deeper into the darkened corridors, an ominous voice echoed around her, slithering into her mind from all directions like water seeping into mud. "Welcome, O' presumptuous one..." it began, causing a few wall sconces to flicker, and the long, dancing shadows to grow. "I am Morvidas, the Enigmatic Dungeon Master who presides over this realm."
Liri snorted disdainfully and retorted without missing a beat: "Pfft! You think you can scare me? I'm Liri? The wunderkind mage many wish they were? You and your pathetic monsters and parlor tricks are no match for my talents."
Morvidas chuckled sinisterly in response, his presence growing closer to Liri as the hall dimmed further. She could not see it, but a dull, immense entity choked the lights low with its unseen presence dominating the flames. "You may be confident now... but do not underestimate what awaits you here. This is no ordinary dungeon; for it is cursed with intelligence-draining traps and monsters. The evils within shall attempt to reduce you to a pitiful and brainless klutz by sapping that very intellect which you so proudly flaunt."
Despite Morvidas's foreboding words, Liri only scoffed at him. "Hah! Is that all?" Her eyes gleamed with her classic bratty defiance. "Worry not — I'll breeze through your 'intelligence-draining dungeon' and show you just how powerful my mind truly is when I banish you back to the dark pit you crawled out of!"
Morvidas simply laughed once more. The nearly-snuffed wall adornments brightened again as his presence receeded. "We shall see if your boastfulness holds true... Brace yourself for trials beyond any mortal's comprehension!"
And with those chilling words hanging in the air between her and an entity surely observing with interest, Liri mumbled one last "...don't underestimate me either, freak..." before stomping ahead deeper into the twisted underground labyrinth. Officially, her job was to clear this dungeon, to excise a corrupt tumor from the world she sat on top of. But now, the malevolent entity had soured her mood, and for that Liri had simply decided it must die.
