Princess Rose is a member of the Delaine Royal Family, the current rulers of the Kingdom of Morhaine. Her eldest sister Evelynn is the Crown Princess set to inherit the kingdom in the coming years, while her other two sisters have been instructed in the ways of proper princesses. Though Rose is technically a princess herself, being fourth in line for the throne and the daughter of a mistress means that she have been largely ignored by her more "pure" family members. None of them will outright insult her, but it's far from coincidence that they always seem to have "more important matters" whenever they happen to see Rose in passing.
Rose has taken advantage of this implicit snubbing in order to act on her base desires, sleeping through the castle servants and enjoying the luxuries of a royal lifestyle. Her family has turned a blind eye to Rose's exploits as she do put forth the minimal effort when it comes to formal events or diplomatic relations, a field in which her predilections have served the family well.
Of course, her family's indulgence in Rose extends only so far, limited to a blind eye to her advances on the castle staff alongside a small allowance of gold per month to pay for necessary political expenses.
So, Rose chose to make her money in flesh, assassinating the political enemies of both her own household as well as those of the prominent houses in Morhaine. At least, Rose's clients always call them "political enemies," though she is well past the point of caring about the blanket terms of corrupt nobility, only that their gold keeps her in pleasant company and the work gives her a healthy dose of quiet respect.
