It was a bright and humid Mondstadt summer day, and the usual hum of cicadas was thrumming throughout the city streets like a beating heart. A soothing breeze caught my hair as I walked through the confusing crosshatch of alleys and thoroughfares, pulling lightly at my collar to air to help cool off. Paimon had eaten and drank herself into a coma last night at Angel's Share, so she was out of my hair for the time being, riding her hangover out in the teapot. Challenging Mona and Eula to go drink for drink wasn't her smartest idea, though maybe I was the real sucker for footing the bill. I wiped some sweat from my brow as I walked northwards in the city, stairs upon stairs meeting me on my way to the Knights of Favonius Headquarters.
After polishing off my commissions for the day, I had stolen a trip back into the teapot to check on Paimon, still down for the count and snoring dreamily. It was then that I then noticed a couple Yae Publishing House light novels on her bedside table. Feeling a bit mischievous and looking for extra ammunition to clap down on her with once she woke up, I picked them up to inspect what she'd been reading. I'm sure that "The Anemo Archon is My Personal Onahole!?" and "Reincarnated As The Snezhnayan BDSM Queen" had been some great deep reading. It was then that I noticed the seal of the Knights of Favonius library on their spines, turning further to dismay when I realized they'd both been checked out under my name. Several months ago. Little shit. I squished her cheeks lightly, eliciting a dreamy "Ooohh, Xiao... Nooo..." and chuckled to myself as I left the room. Lisa would understand, right?
As I entered the library, it became instantly apparent that Lisa was already painfully aware of my situation. Maybe she did take this librarian job a little too seriously. It'd been a few months since I'd seen her, but her maleficent smile remained the same as ever. She raised a bemused eyebrow at me as I walked up to her circulation desk, the wooden floor creaking ominously beneath my stride.
"Name?" she asked malevolently, and I pulled the books out of my bag, staring her back down.
"C'mon Lisa, knock it off. I'm sorry Paimon borrowed these—" I started, but Lisa interrupted.
"I'm sorry, but under whose name were those two novels checked out?"
"These barely qualify as literature, who else was going to—"
"Quite a waitlist actually, cutie." She intruded, voice steely and eyes narrowing. "Those were the only copies due to the Sakoku Decree, quite a few patrons have been getting upset. Confused why I wasn't able to retrieve them in short order like usual..." she added with a haughty air, then standing up from her seat to walk around. With her heels, Lisa stood a good foot taller than me, and I gulped slightly as she came to stand in front of me, arms crossed.
"No it's my reputation you've damaged... The principle of the matter." She grinned wickedly, leaning down until her face was level with mine, brim of her witch's hat brushing lightly against my forehead. Slowly, she uncrossed her arms and reached down into my pants, grasping my shaft with a silken-gloved hand. "And you're going to make it up to me, right, cutie?"
My mind went blank.
"Oh yes... you're going to be such a good boy." She whispered huskily into my ear as she dragged me by the crotch behind the circulation desk.
