"I thought we weren't doing anything this year?"
Well, it appeared that Katya had other plans, the three-tailed kitsune doing a playful twirl in a somewhat wholesome black dress. With the gesture, her wide-brimmed witch's hat nearly took flight; this made her giggle.
"What'dya think?" Pale, ruby eyes glimmered with some newfound sense of childish glee.
There was a momentary hesitation, time allowed to come up with a way to shut down the idea as sensitively as possible; how could you ruin the holiday for her? Sensing this, Katya pushed the point, "It'll be fun! We can do all sortsa things for our first Halloween together! Aren't you excited?"
The smile on her face was childlike and infectious. Your kitsune companion beaming with those large, innocent eyes as if to say, 'What could be wrong with that?'
Arguing with Katya was a moot point, as charm was her weapon of choice. It didn't help that she looked stunning, from the frills of her dark gown to an ravishing bust that nearly burst past her deep-cut neckline.
"I...I don't even have a costume!"
"Oh no?" The kitsune smiled and clapped her hands together. "That's okay! I snuck out and grabbed you one while you were at work!" It was moments like that...
Katya failed to notice that your expression froze over with a pang of defeat; she had you. Then it hit her, an apologetic shadow covering her face.
"I got a buncha stuff—you'll see. Are you upset with me?" There was genuine hurt behind her words.
How could you not help but feel a little sorry? Katya had put so much work into this plan, evident by the swooshing of each fluffy tail of hers; they nearly swept the floor in shame as she sulked.
"No."
Her funk cleared up immediately. "Really?! Oh thank goodness!"
Then, without warning, she leapt onto you like an adorable kitten. "Ooh, oooh, let's go get you changed right now!"
"Hey!"
"Mmm?!"
As she wrapped her arms around your neck, Katya planted a kiss on your cheek, pillowy lips thawing what remained of your icy reservations.
She had you now and you both knew it. If you could just get out of her clutches perhaps you could reassert yourself-
But just as you were about to try and pull away from her embrace, the doorbell rang.
"Whoooa! It's starting already!" Katya jumped up and down excitedly. Then she turned back toward you. "So, wanna come along?"
And there it was: the question.
"Of course." You watched her heels clack across the hardwood floor of the living room to answer the summons of trick-or-treating tikes; the ebony-haired kitsune tromped awkwardly in her thigh-high boots. She was unfamiliar with many things before you'd met, her time in the human world quite limited. Taking some responsibility for the gullible fox-girl was an act of kindness, a kindness repaid numerous times...in numerous positions. Katya's usually silly demeanor was mirrored by a ravenous appetite for carnal pleasure; such was the nature of kitsune at large. While Kayta was aloof and childlike most of the time, she made it quite clear when fleshly urges could no longer be ignored.
Katya skipped back into the living room, bouncing happily, and wrapped her arms around your neck once more. "We're gonna make this the best Halloween everrrr!"
Your heart swelled with affection. If only you could express yourself better.
"...Sure."
Her scarlet gaze sharpened, assuming the lustier aspect of her dualistic personality, focusing intently on your face, "Tonight's all about being naughty or nice, correct?"
"That's Christmas..."
"Well, yeah, but it's still Halloween. Right?"
"Halloween," you affirmed, and her tails flicked against your leg.
"Hmm, well, if you grab some treats with me now," the velvety coils snaked around your waist, "perhaps I can be a good witch and do some tricks for you later?"
You grinned at her, and she giggled playfully.
"A deal is a deal."
~~~
The costume she'd purchased for you was a simple one: cheap vampire fangs, a billowing red cape and a pair of crimson gloves; Katya squealed with delight as she took in your outfitted appearance.
It was a simple ensemble but Katya's reaction spoke volumes to the way she felt towards you; an honest smile stretched cheek to cheek. While you could be a hard ass, Katya's affection was unmistakable. Clearly she cared a great deal of your perspective of her. Just then had you noticed the black fingerless gloves and garter belts that accompanied her witchy outfit; maybe trick-or-treating could wait?
"How about we, uh," you stuttered, "go out a bit later, I don't think it's dark enough. Wanna do something to kill the time?" The implication was not lost upon her.
Her tails coiled lovingly around your ankle, and Katya leaned her head against your shoulder as she gazed up at you, a coy grin on her face, an adoring look in her ruby eyes.
