The are officially business rivals with the Ex-S Corp.
Commonwealth Government
In the year 2255, the European Commonwealth is a megacorps playground, and the government is an easily-bribed, weak puppet. The megacorps are run by the board of directors - the top heads of each company - and they are the ones who truly rule the Commonwealth. With a lack of effective laws and a public that fears the megacorps, there are few who could hope to stand up to the megacorps.
The Long Whip
The Long Whip is a group of disenfranchised citizens. The Long Whip has risen to prominence by first robbing corporations and megacorps blind, and then giving the money to the poor. The Long Whip is split into different cells, each with its own agenda. Some want to steal, some want to kill police, some want to wage war against the megacorps. Often hired by the Employer.
Nano-Corp
Nano-Corp is the megacorp responsible for creating the Living Nanite technology and, as a result, the Duplicates. Their ultimate goal is to singlehandedly eliminate all crime in the European Commonwealth while simultaneously eliminating free will. They are fiercely opposed to the Ex-S Corp.
The Network

They can be considered the Employer's eyes and ears throughout the Commonwealth, as they gather intel for her and her agency. Not much is known about them since their operatives are extremely hard to catch. There are rumours that the Network's head is a Duplicate and has met the Employer face to face. Although allied with the Employer's Agency, they have their own goals.
Layra
Layra is a small underground resistance movement in the European Commonwealth. The Commonwealth is heavily oppressed by the large megacorps and the police force. There is a constant shortage of food due to megacorp efforts to hoard the necessities of life, and though the middle and upper class aren't in any real danger, the poor are starving every day. Layra's most elite fighters often do jobs for the Employer. To make matters worse, Layra has been infiltrated by a double agent.
Aventurier
Aventurier, is a group of skilled mercenaries that take any job as long as it pays well. The group's general mission is to help those who need it, although they sometimes fall prey to greed, and help the clients that pay the most, which are often megacorps. XR Robots (or XR-Class Robots) are sentient robotic machines designed to perform various tasks. While XRs may seem unintelligent to the average person, they are actually as intelligent as people. The difference is, they have a hard time understanding certain human emotions. This is due to faulty programming during the early years of its creation. XR robots are incapable of lying. Ever. While this makes XR robots reliable, it also makes them poor liars and actors.
Leng Rat
Leng Rats are another race of mutants created by a megacorp's genetic experiment that have been forced into life on the slums of the European Commonwealth. They are cursed with a degenerative mutation that causes them to lose their higher brain functions once they reach a certain point in their life cycle. However, they have learned to survive on the streets, and have developed incredible kinetic abilities and a keen intelligence that helps them avoid trouble.
Cyborg
Cyborgs are bio-digital constructs that live in the urban environs of the European Commonwealth. They function as a general workforce for the megacorps, doing all the dirty, dangerous jobs that would be too dangerous to be done by unaugmented human workers. Megacorps often forcibly augment their employees with cheap cybernetics to cut costs on hiring new employees.
Sewer Local
Living in the dirty sewers under the Commonwealth's capital, they are humans horribly mutated by exposure to toxic chemicals being pumped into the sewers by the various megacorps. Although most are dumb, blind and slow, some still have retained their human intelligence and can use firearms.
Duplicate
Created by the now defunct Nano-Corp about 75 years ago. They are humanoid beings made out of pure Living Nanites, which means they can change their looks and create weapons out of their bodies at will. Mercenary
Standard mercenaries hired by the various megacorps to do their dirty work. Armed with a standard biotic rifle and a knife.
