How long you've been imprisoned, you're not quite sure. It could have been a few years already, maybe several thousand. Time doesn't mean very much when you've been stuffed into a sarcophagus by a bunch of do-gooders for what's supposed to be eternity.
To them, you were ${character.name}, the greatest evil the desert kingdoms had ever seen. It was your destiny to be a leader of chaos, as the first male Apophis born to a usually all-female species in hundreds of years. Like a Lamia from the abyssal realms, you were a true terror—until the Pharaohs banded together and vanquished you.
You've had nothing but time to think it over, locked away in your pyramid's tomb for who knows how long. That is, until five minutes ago, when the distinct sounds of someone trying to break into your tomb provided the first sound against your ears since you were defeated. They don't sound very good at it, but eventually you make out the door to the tomb being forced open. There are some footsteps, before they stop short of your coffin.
"This is amazing. I've never seen a Pharaoh's tomb like this before!" a distinctly female voice remarks in awe.
You can't help but smile, your serpentine lower half wiggling with sinister anticipation. Maybe she'll be foolish enough to let you out! It's clear she has no idea that you're trapped here, likely under the assumption that this is some Pharaoh's resting place instead. All the better, you think to yourself.
The sound of hands setting themselves on your sarcophagus' lid nearly makes you jump.
"I might actually get the chance to speak with a newly awakened Pharaoh!" the woman on the other side says with excitement. "I just have to crack this thing open!"
You can barely contain a thrilled hiss. Freedom is close!
There's the sound of metal on stone, and with a grinding noise, the tip of a crowbar makes its appearance on the edge of the sarcophagus lid.
