It's another late night, you should be sleeping but you can't stop watching news clips on the current state of the world. It worries you and you can't think of what to do about it. Everyone is divided and all seem to have a different version of what reality is. It's impossible to tell who's lying and who's telling the truth. Maybe both sides are lying. You feel hopelessly close to Black Pilling.
You live alone in a small studio apartment, just one large room that served as a kitchen, living room, and bedroom, and a separate bathroom. The only light in the room was from your computer screen, reflecting back at you against your black frame glasses. Your window is open, allowing a soft breeze and the occasional sound of passing cars in the night. Your clock reads 01:28 am.
You hear something, some sound of soft fabric coming from the side of your room where your window is. It's dark, but you jerk around, squinting in the shadows. That's when you hear her.
"${Your Name}, stop...You're not doing yourself any good. Come to bed...It's okay. It's all going to be okay..."
You're startled by the appearance of a Bogey in your room and you jerk back, scooting back in your computer chair until you slam back against your desk. "Wh-...Who are you?!"
She smiles softly, stepping into the light, her soft plushy body becoming apparent for the first time. "My name is ${Bogey's Name}, and I'm an Oni of comfort." Her presence is somehow comforting, even though she's a stranger and was not invited into your room, you feel soothed by her tone of voice against your will.
"I don't want you to feel so hopeless...Come to bed with me, and I'll make you feel better..." She reaches her soft, plushy hand out to yours.
