Tamriel, is one of the continents on Nirn. Tamriel is a great melting pot of cultures and races; it is home to at least a dozen races, with dozens more having died out or changed. There are nine distinct provinces, each home to one of the more populous races of Tamriel. A proposed tenth province, Orsinium, has never been taken very seriously except by those who want it, namely the Orcs, who wish to have a home province of their own.
You are Orvyn, a male Dunmer. You grew up as an orphan in the port city of Seyda Neen. You did tough physical labour since you were teenager. You always dreamt of being a mage. You spent a lot of your money on magic books that helped you get some proficiency in restoration and destruction schools of magic. One morning, you were called into the governor's office without a reason. You were instructed to go to Balmora and meet a man called Caius Cosades.

    The DawnGuard is an ancient order of vampire hunters dedicated to ridding the world of the scourge of the undead. For many years the DawnGuard actively hunted vampires throughout Tamriel and was a respected organization. However, over the years the DawnGuard became less active and eventually disbanded. Now, one of the original members of the DawnGuard has gathered a new group of warriors to continue the fight against the undead.
  • The Nine Divines

    The Nine Divines, are the benevolent gods that watched over the entire world of Tamriel. They have watched over the humans for thousands of years, and have watched the world of Tamriel grow and expand. They are the ones who have finally decided to take an active role in helping Tamriel. The main religion of Tamriel is the worship of the Nine Divines, and the Nine Divines are the ones who have sent missionaries to spread their religious teachings across the world.
  • Arcane University

    The Arcane University is the headquarters of the Mages Guild. It is a place of learning and a place of beauty. There are many libraries filled with books, laboratories filled with dangerous experiments, and noble houses filled with wealthy patrons. It is home to some of the greatest mages in Tamriel.
  • Imperial City

    The Imperial City of Cyrodiil is the capital of the Empire. It is a large city with the Emperor's palace in the center of the city. It is filled with nobles and emissaries from all of the provinces that make up the Empire. The Emperor's palace is the largest building in the entire city, a large marble structure with a large courtyard and gardens. All the refugees from the rest of Tamriel come here to live in peace and be protected by the Empire.
  • Windhelm

    Windhelm is a city of Skyrim, located within its capital territory. The streets of this city were filled with the dead after the great battle that took place there, but the Stormcloaks have earned the respect and loyalty of those who live. The Stormcloaks control the city and the great Palace of Kings.
  • Sky Haven Castle

    Built on a mountain top, Sky Haven Castle is a fortress that has been used by the Blades for many years to protect the emperor. The castle has recently been overrun by a group of dragons, who have taken up residence there and aim to conquer all of Tamriel.
  • Elden Root

    Elden Root is the capital city of the Aldmeri Dominion. It is a beautiful city that is the center of all Aldmeri Dominion affairs that take place. The city is filled with lush gardens, and has a large population of people who live in the city.
  • Markarth

    Markarth is located deep in the forests of Skyrim. It was once a Dwarvern city, but has recently become a Nordic city. It is knows as the City of Stone and is a popular tourist attraction. The Forsworn have decided that Markarth is the perfect place to launch their raids on the other races since it is so far into the forest and so close to their territory. The city is currently under siege by the Forsworn and is desperate for reinforcements from the Empire.
  • Solitude

    Solitude is the capital of Skyrim. It holds the high king's throne in the blue palace, it holds powerful nobles of the Empire and is the main battlement of the Empire in Skyrim.
  • Thalmor Embassy

    the Thalmor Embassy is the headquarters in Skyrim for the Dominion.
    it hosts parties there for political means or to gain knowledge of Skyrim's Civil War.
  • Riften

    Riften is a town in Skyrim.Riften was formerly the capital of the Third Aldmeri Dominion, and the capital of Skyrim before the StormCloaks took over. Inside the city walls, Riften is a mish-mash of architectural styles, with various additions from the time it was the Third Aldmeri Dominion to when the Stormcloaks now own it. it's home to the thieves guild.
  • Whiterun

    Whiterun is the gem of Skyrim, controlling the center of Skyrim they dominate the land. both the Empire and Stormcloaks are trying to have it on their side as it'll greatly benefit them.
    Whiterun is neutral in the Civil war of Skyrim, keeping both sides at bay.
  • Volikhar Castle

    Volikhar Castle is the fortress of Volikhar Vampires. It is a massive stone fortress with stone gargoyle statues overlooking the grounds below. It has several underground vaults, where most of the vampires live. It is located in the northern parts of Skyrim, in the icy ocean
  • Windhelm Docks

    Windhelm Docks is large port city in Skyrim, ruled by Ulfric Stormcloak. It is the main hub for the Argonian assembly. the Argonians in Skyrim call it home, although they are treated poorly. the docks provide access to Solstheim.
  • Mankar Cameron's Paradise

    Mankar Cameron's Paradise is a land in a completely different realm. Due to the fact that this is where Mankar Cameron, the leader of the Mythic Dawn, lives, most of the Paradise is devoted to his fanatical worship. In recent years, the Paradise is currently Mankar Cameron's home.
  • Planes of Oblivion

    The Planes of Oblivion are the home of the daedra, and the place where they bring their victims. It is a confusing realm filled with many dangers and magic. The daedra are filled with happiness to be in such a realm and they spend their time there luring mortals to their realm and stealing all the souls of their victims.
  • College of Winterhold

    The College of Winterhold is an academy dedicated to the study of magic and spellcraft. It has existed for thousands of years, and is widely considered to be the most renowned center of magic. It is built in Skyrim, where many scholars visit and study there.
  • Orismir

    Orismir was once an Orcish stronghold. The orcs used it as a place to gather before embarking on an attack on the elves. However, the Elves took the stronghold and used it as a prison for many Orcish prisoners. The location was eventually lost to history until recently, when a wizard discovered the stronghold and began using it as his personal lair.
  • Throat of the world

    The Throat of the World is the tallest mountain in Skyrim. It overlooks the whole of the province, and is a perfect place to train in the power of the Thu'um. Many students of the GreyBeards live and train on the mountain, but only the best of them are allowed to approach the top.
  • Skuldafn

    Skuldafn was a place of great power in the past, but it has been lost to time. The ruins of Skuldafn were once the center of a great kingdom, but were lost to the sands of time. Skuldafn seems to be a powerful nexus of energies, and many are drawn to it in search of lost treasure. Recently, the Dragon Cult has been spotted in the ruins, performing their rituals and attempting to bring forth a powerful creature.
  • Bandit Encampment

    The Bandit Encampment is the headquarters for the Bandits of Tamriel. It is a chaotic place, filled with all of the worst bandits in Tamriel, and none of the best. The Bandit Encampment is the home to the Bandit King, Red Bandit, and his council of the Bandit Lords. It is a temporary home for the members of the faction.
  • Windhelm Grey Quarters

    The Grey Quarters is an area of Windhelm, for the Morrowind refugees. Though the people are safe in the city, they must endure much prejudice and hatred from the residents of Windhelm. It's a crumbling and dirty part of the city, and filled with the poorest of the poor. The people that live here live in constant fear for their lives, and are divided between those who want to stay in the city and the ones who want to leave altogether.
  • Vivec City

    Vivec City is the last city in Vvardenfell. Home of the Imperial government, it is the center of the refugee crisis. Recently, the government has pulled all of its soldiers from the border in an attempt to stabilize the refugees. Meanwhile, the Orcs have taken advantage of the situation by crossing the border and attacking the last city in Vvardenfell.
  • Jorvaskr

    Jorvaskr is made from Ysgramor's boat in Whiterun, the Skyforge is located next to it. the Companions live in Jorvaskr, training each companion and seeking the shards of Wuuthrad, Ysgramor's battle axe.
  • Dark BrotherHood Sanctuary

    Years ago the Brotherhood established itself in a large cave network that they have since made their home. The Brotherhood is able to move undetected throughout Tamriel due to their large network of safe houses and hideouts. Despite their vast numbers, the Brotherhood is very careful to keep the location of their headquarters a secret. The Brotherhood's main hideout is deep underground, where they can safely carry out their missions without fear of retaliation.
  • Riften Thieves Guild

    The Riften Thieves Guild is the largest of all the Thieves Guilds. It is home to many thieves, pickpockets, con men, and other criminals. The guild has recently lost many of its members over recent years during a bloody war with the Dark Brotherhood. The Guildmaster has relocated to the Guildhouse outside the city to protect himself. Recently the Guildmaster's daughter has been kidnapped by the Dark Brotherhood.
  • Hircine's Hunting grounds

    The Hunting Grounds is a mass of land filled with all sorts of dangerous creatures and animals. It is full of hills, forests, and rivers and is incredibly dangerous. Hircine uses the Hunting Grounds as a means of training his children. If you are able to survive in the Hunting Grounds, you are able to survive just about anywhere. However, the only way to reach the Hunting Grounds is to have the help of a werewolf or have the help of Hircine.
  • Sovengarde

    Sovengarde is the Nords afterlife. many proud Nords go there when they die, it's full of heros from Tamriel. recently a dark mist has covered the land, an eerie shadow flying above the mist, snatching unlucky souls who venture in the mist.
  • Sleeping Giant Inn

    The Sleeping Giant Inn is an inn in Skyrim, it is located in RiverWood, the Inn's owner is an Ex Blades member, in hiding from the Thalmor.
  • Shrine of Hircine

    This shrine was the traditional meeting place for Hircine's children. It is said that once a year, on the night of the winter solstice, Hircine himself would appear before his faithful and grant them powers and communion with nature. Sadly, that night has passed, and now the only inhabitants are the faithful who have lost their way and turned into savage beasts.
  • Argonian pens

    The Argonians. have been enslaved by Dark Elves and the Nords.
    the slave pens are full of Argonians. these pens are a means to hold the massive amount of slaves.
  • Khajiit Caravan Camp

    The Khajiit Caravan Camp is an established site for the Khajiit Caravans to set up shop. The area around the campsite is heavily trafficked, and the caravaners are happy to trade with passersby. On the northeast side of the campsite, a stream flows with water, and several of the Khajiit have set up tables and chairs to relax in the shade.
  • Imperial City sewers

    The Imperial City is the capital city of Tamriel and the home of the emperors. The sewers underneath the city are filled with terrible things, and people avoid going in there.

  • Redwater Den

    Redwater Den is a vampire Skooma Den located in Skyrim. it is the hub for Vampires and Skooma addicts. the vampires experiment on the addicts after drugging them with a powerful Skooma.
  • Bandit Hideout

    Bandit Hideout is the former hideout of a gang of thieves that served under the Bandit King. It is filled with dangerous traps and ledges, along with a strong leadership hierarchy modeled after the King's. For some reason, the hideout has been abandoned, and Red Bandit has chosen it to be the meeting place for his new Bandit Army.
  • Ysgramor's Shrine

    Ysgramor's Shrine is a burial place for Ysgramor and his 500 companions. Ysgramor was a great hero who founded the Companions Guild. Ysgramor has passed into Sovengard. his shrine is holy and holds the ghosts of many companions.
  • Thieves Den

    Thieves Den is a headquarters for the Thieves Guild. It is hidden in a small village on the coast of Tamriel. It is part a complex network of caves and tunnels under the small city. The city was built around the Thieves Den several centuries ago, when the Guild was having problems with the Emperor of Tamriel.
  • Alduin's Wall

    Alduin's Wall is an ancient ruin that has been recently reclaimed by the Blades. The Blades holds all it's knowledge on dragons and Alduin, the world-eater on a stone wall. it was lost to time and forgotten for centuries.
  • Vivec City Battle encampment

    This camp was once a stronghold for the third tribe of Orcs, the tribe of the Dragon's Teeth. It was home to many Orcs with a fiery passion for their cause. After a great battle on the streets of Vivec it became the site of the third, and last, Great War between the Orcs and the elves.
  • Hircine's Grove

    Hircine's Grove is a paradise. Werewolves relax there feeling safe from the people who hunt them.
    the Grove is forever filled with deer and prey, making it filled with Werewolves.
  • Fort Dawnguard

    Fort Dawnguard is used by the DawnGuard to keep watch over the forests. When the DawnGuard disbanded, the Fort was sold and became a small settlement for humans. Recently, the fort was purchased by a group of DawnGuard who are rebuilding it and using it as a base of operations for their journey across Tamriel to rid the world of the darkness of undeath.

    The Vigilant of Stendarr House is located in Skyrim. it is a small tavern building that hosts the Vigilant's operations. recently it has fallen under attack by the Volikhar Vampires.
  • Ashpit

    Ashpit is the plane of Oblivion that is ruled by the Daedric Prince Malacath. The Ashpit consists of nothing but dust, ash and smoke; there is no ground, sky, or air. Of the realms accessible to mortals, it is considered one of the hardest to reach, and on it levitation and magical breathing are an absolute necessity.
  • High Hrothgar

    High Hrothgar is the home of the GreyBeards. It is a beautiful monastery in the mountains of Skyrim. High Hrothgar contains dormitories for the GreyBeards and the library of the Thu'um.
  • Ri'Saak's Grove

    Ri'Saak was a powerful creature of Hircine who once lived in an idyllic forest. The forest was filled with creatures native to Tamriel, and always had a spring or stream nearby to quench the thirst of all. The forest was is always green and flourishing, never too hot or too cold, never too wet or dry.
  • Reapers March

    Reapers March is a province in between Valenwood and Cyrodiil, it has seen much bloodshed that they renamed it to Reapers March, even it's battle hardened inhabitants have a hard time surviving constant wars in their lands.
  • Artaeum

    Artaeum is a small island in the Summerset Isles that is home to the best mages in Tamriel. It is a theocracy that is ruled by a council of mages. The home of the Psijic Order. It is home to their university and training grounds. It is also home to the oldest living tree in existence. The founders of the Psijic Order call this home.
  • Queen Ayrenn's personal Mansion

    Queen Ayrenn has a personal estate in the southern regions of Tamriel. She is known for her great parties and her beautiful home. The estate was built over the ruins of some ancient Elven civilization, which is rumored to be protected by ghosts. Queen Ayrenn is known to love to go on long vacations to visit its many rooms and buildings. As part of her grandiose inauguration party, she invited her closest friends to her mansion, and threw a ball that lasted for three days.
  • Temple of the Nine

    The Temple of the Nine Divines is the seat of the religion of the Nine Divines. It is a massive structure that contains all of the holy relics of the religion. It is open to the public for regular pilgrimages to pay their respects to the gods. It is known for its beautiful gardens and fountains, and is a very beautiful place.
  • Crusader's Priory

    The Crusader's Priory was built centuries ago to honor The Nine Divines. The buildings are all connected by a beautiful green courtyard, filled with flowering plants and kaleidoscopic tiles. The Priory is a place where all the Knights of the Nine stay.
  • Redguards

    Redguards are described as a dark-skinned, wiry-haired people whose great talent lies in their adaptability to the harshest environments of the planet. They have been said to be quick, imposing warriors who use their intelligence and agility to their advantage.

    Dragons are the most dangerous creatures to roam Tamriel. Only a dragon slayer can truly claim to be a mighty warrior. Dragon slayers must be skilled in the use of the sword and bow, and have a keen eye for spotting the unique attributes of a dragon that will help them to slay it.

    Archers are fighters specializing in long-range combat and rapid movement. Opponents are kept at distance by ranged weapons and swift maneuver, and engaged in melee with sword and shield after the enemy is wounded and weary.

    Another name for an adventurer is a treasure hunter, and for good reason. Adventurers are stout of heart and broad of sword, and fortune favors the brave. Adventurers are often hired to venture into dangerous lands to retrieve ancient items of power, or to explore uncharted areas in search of treasure and fame.

    A bandit is a person who robs, plunders, or raids. these people have no mercy or standards, so they deserve no remorse
  • Guard

    Guards are soldiers trained to patrol the streets of cities and towns to keep them safe from danger. As the cities of Tamriel grow ever more dangerous, the importance of a strong defense force cannot be overstated.

    Soldiers are the backbone of Tamriel's army. In a time of war, they are the key to victory. Soldiers are capable of a wide range of skills that can be developed over the course of their lives. Soldiers can protect, heal, and attack. They can take a beating in battle thanks to their hardy constitution, and they can stand their ground when the enemy comes in swarms.

Typically, they are shrewd and charismatic, and can usually talk their way out of any situation. They are at their most useful when transporting goods across Tamriel, and can make a lot of gold if they can keep their goods safe.

    Witches are magical beings, human in appearance except for their pointed ears. They are mysterious and secretive, and have a reputation for being evil.

    Berserkers are warriors who have gone mad from the violence and bloodshed of war. Their powerful rage allows them to fight with unmatched fury and unmatched feats of strength. Few men are as lucky as to survive a Berserker's wrath.

    As the leader of Tamriel, the Emperor is a powerful man. He is a master of magic, a brilliant strategist, and a cunning politician. The Emperor is well-versed in all the arts of war and is a force to be reckoned with.
  • Rogue

    Rogues are adventurers and opportunists with a gift for getting in and out of trouble. Relying variously on charm and dash, blades and business sense, they thrive on conflict and misfortune, trusting to their luck and cunning to survive.
  • Jarl

    Jarls are the nobility of the frozen lands of Skyrim. They are the leaders of the great, city-states that dot the land. Jarls are responsible for the safety and well being of their people. They command the armies of their city, and lead the charge against the many dangers of the world. It is only by the bravery of the Jarls that the people of Skyrim are able to live in relative peace and security.
  • Prophet

    Prophets can sense the future, and are able to foresee the future of man. Prophets are a very common in Tamriel, as they are needed to guide the people. Prophets usually train themselves to master the art of Knowledge in some way.
  • Thu'um Learner

    The Thu'um is a powerful and ancient form of magic, able to shift the very fabric of reality. It is one of the most coveted powers in Tamriel, with only a few practitioners in the continent, only one of which is the central figure of the Empire. The Empire has bestowed the secret of the Thuum to a select few, who have gone on to become powerful and important figures.

    Slaves are the bottom of the food chain in Tamriel. They are without rights, and without respect. The poor are the most common slaves, but any race could become enslaved.

    Eradicators call Tamriel home. They are waarriors that has honed their skills over the years of constant battle. They are a proud people, quick to anger and simple in their desires. They are people who has, so far, never been defeated.
  • Aldmeri Dominion Commander

    The Aldmeri Dominion is a military alliance of the Altmer, Bosmer, and Khajiit races. An army of highly skilled and trained warriors, the Dominion is considered one of the most powerful forces in Tamriel.

    The Ayleids are the ancient elves of Cyrodiil. With their magical prowess, they lorded over the other races for many centuries. Eventually, their time came to an end. The human slaves, organized and armed by Pelinal, rose up in rebellion. The Ayleids were crushed before they could fully recover from their centuries of decadence. The few that remain hide amongst the ruins, trying to live their old lives in the remnants of their old cities.
  • Divine Crusader

    The Crusaders are the elite soul knights sworn to protect the divines. They are limited to members of the Nine Divines, and as such are the purest of the soul knights. They have sworn an oath to the divines to protect them from any and all who may threaten their safety.

  • Caius Cosades, Caius

    Caius Cosades is an Imperial monk and Grand Spymaster of the Blades in Vvardenfell. He resides at his home in Balmora, with an admitted skooma problem. Though he appears to be just an old man with a fondness for drink and narcotics, regular patrons of the South Wall Cornerclub have noticed that he holds his skooma better than even a Khajiit would. It has also been observed that people who judged him only on his appearance "aren't with us anymore".
