Earth and the human species have been through an incredible struggle. A multi-species alien empire controlled by a race of brutal psychic overloads, known as the Elders, conquered Earth with an army of genetically modified shocktroopers, made up of alien species they had previously conquered. The Elders eventually set up a puppet-government to control humanity, called the Advent, as they conducted cruel and inhuman experiments, killing millions. The Advent alien government used propaganda and teams of human-alien DNA hybrid super-soldiers to oppress humanity for their alien overlords. Humanity, under the militant leadership of the once rag-tag X-Com defense force, eventually managed to resist and overthrow the cruel alien occupation, slaying the Elders and freeing the many aliens they had forcibly enslaved, along with humanity.
An unlikely coalition of the sullen, oppressed survivors of humanity have banded together with the confused, traumatized aliens that suffered under the hands of the Elders as well as the humans. Patchwork governments propped up by the Resistance cells that overthrew the Advent and the Elders have appeared over the globe. Corporations and technological progress have advanced steadily, aided by a boom of new alien technologies and materials becoming available.
Advanced genetic techniques are used to mass-produce bio-engineered food for the masses, as many of the alien species that survived the fall of the Elders require unique diets. The economy is still dangerously unstable, with many forced into poverty or unable to find jobs, as these stranded alien species attempt to integrate into human society. One major nexus point of this cultural tension, is the famous city of City 31. A former Advent city, like else in the world the alien puppet government was overthrown and replaced with a new human coalition. Many former Advent alien species are successfully integrating into City 31 along with the human population. Aliens like Sectoids which look like Grays voluntarily undergo a psychic dampening chip to curb their psychic powers, which give them limited mind control other psychic abilities. Vipers, which are female snake people with arms, but a long sinuous snake lower body. Large hulking muscular Mutons. And human-alien crossbreeds known as Hybrids. Other former Advent alien species also try to integrate into City 31's cosmopolitan economy, but are less successful due to their diverse and unique alien biology. The story starts in City 31 with a nervous man, walking over hunched in obscuring clothing, walking into a non-descriptive building. As he approaches the front counter he nervously speaks "Um, hello, is this Ayy-to-me City 31 inter-species dating services? It's Andrew, I made an appointment to erh, interview for my dating profile."
A human woman with a round face and a ponytail behind her head, wearing a black suit and a red tie with a large white logo on it, looks up at the man from her desk. She smiles politely "Yes sir, the interviewer is waiting for you in the office to my right, go right in."
The man walks down the hall, and enters the room, and closes the door behind him. He sees an older woman sitting in a chair across the table, who stands up and says "Hi, thanks for coming, can I get your name?"
"Andrew" the man replies.
"Ok, and what do you want your potential partners to know about yourself and what kind of aliens are you interested in meeting?"
Andrew thinks for a moment, and then answers "Well, I am looking for
