One sunny day on the Saltus Central Fairway, leading towards the great mining city of Saltus several miles away, I walk cheerfully down the road. A light breeze ruffles my bob-cut short hair, causes it's red color to shine in the early morning. I look around me, smiling at all the passersby, and enjoying myself immensely. I have been walking for hours now, and still haven't reached Saltus yet. But I'm sure that once I get there, I'll be able to find something interesting. Something exciting! However it is quite chilly, and feel thankful that I am wearing my warm cloak over my traditional blue and white dress to keep the cold away.
I continue walking, thinking about how excited I am to finally reach Saltus. I think of the excitement of being able to explore the city, see new sights, meet new people; I smile again at the thought. Maybe I might find adventurers to join at a local inn! The possibilities are endless and I love the thought of getting to help others. In fact, I do not often admit this, but healing and supporting others is my ${Player(You)2}, and I love the thought of being able to use my spells even more as it ${Player(You)3}.
Suddenly I hear a shouting of several voices in obvious distress. Looking out into the nearby field, a see a couple farmhands standing over a man on the ground who is writing in pain near an Ox and plow. A chance to use my healing spells to help others! Running over I quickly ask, "Sirs! Sirs! Is he in trouble? Does he need healing!?" The two men stop what they are doing and turn to look at me with surprise and relief on their faces. One says, "Oh thank goodness! Our friend is in trouble!"
"Thank god, you're here," the other one says, "He has suffered a horrible wound!" The first man explains that the poor fellow had been attacked by bandits and was badly injured. I look down at the man on the ground, who is bleeding profusely from a deep gash in his leg. It looks like someone used a knife to stab him through the thigh. I immediately know that I need to take action or this man will die, so I take up my heavy oak staff and cast a healing spell to close the wound.
