Or so I thought. Amidst the darkness, a blue-eyed, silver-haired woman offered me a chance to be revived and sent elsewhere. Who in the right mind would refuse an opportunity like that?

Several months have passed since I got transported to the Fantasy World, or to be more precise, since I first arrived in Axel, a quaint, archetypal fantasy town located in the Kingdom of Belzberg. Uncertainty set in as I sat at a table in a private upstairs bedroom at the local branch of the Adventurer Guild with a dead-drunk Aqua, the self-described Goddess of Water, across the table from me, with bottles littered about the room. Aqua may be a heavy drinker—I have no doubt that she would heed whatever proposition I give her—but despite that, I hesitated. I'm not quite sure what calendar Belzberg uses, but this time of year would be around February on my homeworld. The so-called month of love. Pfft. Damn normies, being all lovey-dovey with each other… None of those people would ever be able to comprehend me. But what about someone like Aqua, who went out of her way to assist a poor bastard like me? Without her help, and that of her companions Kazu-whatever-his-name-was and those other two, I would have been imprisoned on baseless accusations. What a kind-hearted deed, to bail out a total stranger. I couldn't help but be smitten by that. An intimate relationship between me and her—I hope something along those lines could work out. Whatever the case, I can't stand stand being alone anymore. I'm ashamed at myself. The fact a supposed Goddess like her would even bother to spend time with me should be more than enough. Why the Hell does she want to drink with me so often anyway? But I digress; it's not enough. I need more.
Alas, I can't commit to this. Because he lacked the courage to ask out her like a proper gentleman would, this coward went and got her intoxicated. But rather than do what my dick wants, I should at least obtain her consent before—nay, even then, I can't do it. Aqua deserved better than to have her purity sullied. She's the total opposite of me: high-spirited, kind-hearted, and honest-to-a-fault… From what I've heard through the rumor mill and from idle observation, she's also quite the handful, being an insufferable short-sighted imbecile, among other things. That last part aside, her body's a ten-out-of-ten for sure. A slim figure, ample breasts, wide hips, and a sumptuous derrière; well, how else could I compliment it without rehashing words that have been beaten like a dead horse? Moreover, given how short her skirt is, it's obvious she forwent undergarments. Or better yet, she might have them on, but perhaps she cast some kind of spell to render them invisible, so as to prevent other people from being able to sneak a peek at her womanly bits. What a ridiculous concept. Something like that would defeat the purpose of an undergarment. That thought alone made me stifle many a chuckle. Aqua would be the type of woman to do something that idiotic, and with a straight face too. I shook my head. Even if it's half-assed, I've got to keep things somewhat kosher.
"Hey, Aqua, we're friends, right?" I stammered, my body enveloped in cold sweat. "Ah, since I treated you to drinks this time, I don't know, the thought just occurred to me, but I was hoping we could have a heart-to-heart conversation, you know?"
Aqua raised her head and cast a hazy glance my way. Her cyan hair was disheveled, her tongue lolled out of her mouth alongside a yawn, and her dress' front-open collar revealed the valley of her delicate alabaster skin beneath. Her head tilted back-and-forth; that motion made her breasts jiggle. I couldn't fathom how much she must've drank. When I say that Aqua's breath reeked of alcohol, I didn't just mean like the aftershave from people at the bars back on Earth; I meant pure, unadulterated alcohol. But maybe that's the right place for someone like her to be at that moment.
A "Hmm?" drifted out of her mouth, followed by a long yawn. "Oh, yeah? Let's talk."
"Y-You sure?" I asked, still nervous from being at the end of my tether.
Aqua ambled up from her seat, took a shaky step toward me, and a lurid grin formed on her lips.
"Thanks for the drinks; I'll have to treat you next time. All those bubblies got me in a good mood… Nothing like a nice, cool bottle of bubbly to set my mind at ease! So, what can I do for you today, ${name}?"
I felt obligated to seize the day at that particular moment, and I decided that, rather than respond to her inquiry right away, I had to stroke her ego. Thus, I dropped to my knees and prostrated to the ground.
"Eh, what is the meaning of this? Newbie adventurers like you should praise me, praise me, and spoil me rotten, but this is a bit much, don't you think?" Aqua smirked, leaned over, and pat my head.
But of course, doing that all of a sudden would startle anyone, even Aqua. I couldn't help but feel like a little kid being consoled by his mom. With my head still against the ground, I had to clear whatever misconceptions she might've had about my actions.
"No, you're mistaken! Simply put, this is my way of expressing my gratitude to you, Aqua, for everything you've done for me. Please acknowledge my humble request," I exclaimed, with all the confidence I could muster.
I felt Aqua's wide-eyed stare upon me for a few moments; I knew she had unsettled look on her face. Anyone would be taken aback by such an outburst. Uneasy silence filled the room, and I became worried. But when, I heard an exclamatory "Huff!" I could picture how she shook her head in astonishment.
"Well, I suppose you did treat me to a fancy dinner with drinks. And I must admit, I do enjoy your company. Alright then, what kind of assistance do you need this time, ${name}?" Aqua beamed, in a half-forced tone of nonchalance, though I could detect a hint of joy in her lilt.
I raised my head and took a deep breath. Aqua peered down at me with a compassionate smile and half-lidded eyes. One hand fiddled with her hair—I think she just winked at me! Did she just give me the go-ahead signal? If only I had more experience with this sort of thing… I couldn't tell whether it was from intoxication or something else more profound, but her countenance seemed more radiant than normal. Perhaps she wanted me to take the initiative all along? My voice quavered, but I had to know the answer to the question in my heart.
"Um, would it be possible if ${4#request[you went out on a date with me?"]Request:What do you want to request from Aqua? A date? For her to sit on your face? Or perhaps something else?}
