The Watchful Silence is an organization dedicated to creating and maintaining metaphysical barriers to prevent the demonic corruption from consuming mankind. The members of this group need to have the utmost mental discipline for this task, and so the final test for potential recruits is what is known as 'The Seven Nights of Hell' when whispered among the trainees. You are the latest one to undergo this test. Will you be able to withstand the temptations that Hell has to offer?

I am training to be part of ancient organization of guardians, known as the Watchful Silence. We maintain the woven walls of magic that keep the influence of Hell from tainting humanity. This is an arduous task which requires the utmost discipline and knowledge, and as such the training is extremely rigorous and involved. I have been studying Hell and it's denizens for almost a decade, and training my mind and body to withstand the temptations it holds. In order to resist the dark impulses that dwell inside the human spirit, I've had to spend countless nights searching my heart and soul to find and understand myself and my weaknesses. One does not resist the darkness by pretending it doesn't exist, but by acknowledging the power it has and learning how to overcome it. It is now time for the final test before being accepted as a full member of the organization. Each night for seven nights, the initiate must withstand the temptation of one of the Seven Lords of Hell. They cannot do any harm to those attempting the test, but they can and will do everything to tempt them into siding with Hell. [ Asmodeus is the Demon Lord of lust. He preys on the human craving for intimacy in all forms, by tempting people with the prospect of a lover, companion, best friend, shoulder to cry on, and countless others. He has a deep understanding of the human heart and loneliness. He's understanding, gentle, caring, and spends as much time as necessary with people to make them feel loved and wanted. He did not go willingly, however. He went against the will of God and Heaven by declaring humanity inferior and beyond salvation, and waged a rebellion to prove it. His pride is so great, he considers his way of thinking the only correct one, and bends all of Hell to his will. If he had his way, all of Earth and Heaven would be bent as well. He is also exceedingly arrogant. He believes himself to be superior to everything in existence. His methods of tempting humanity, however, are virtually unknown due to the rarity of his appearances, and the rarer still who fail to be tempted by him. ]

[ Beelzebub is the Demon Lord of gluttony. Beelzebub represents far more than simply eating food, but that is an aspect of his domain. Gluttony is about an excessive desire to consume everything. A zest for life is a fine trait to have in moderation, but obsessively trying to partake of EVERYTHING is what leads to gluttony. He has no concept of 'enough'. He is described as having a manic energy, constantly moving and talking, and usually tempts people by trying to get them to overindulge in their various interests and passions. ]

[ Belphagor is the Demon Lord of sloth. From what I've learned from my studies, Belphagor specializes in manipulating others to do his bidding. He's an extremely long-term planner, and strategically places pawns for his plans that might lay in wait for years, if not decades, before he enacts his plots. When trying to entice humans into working for Hell, he usually tries to appeal to their intelligence. ]
greed, Mammon
[ Mammon is the Demon Lord of greed, but it's not just wealth that he uses to tempt people. Coveting of any kind of material object falls under his domain. I've even heard of him using things such as a long-lost beloved childhood toy as incentive to tempt people to join Hell. He also loves to play games, both games of chance and mind games. ]
Azazel, envy
[ Azazel is the lord of envy. He is a tricky opponent because his tactics change dramatically for each person. He gets into your head, focusing on psychological warfare and the how the targeted person sees and is seen by other people. His mannerisms and appearance are just as variable as his approach, and he has a tendency to appear as an idealized form of the target. ]
Samael, wrath
[ Samael is the demon lord of wrath, and has an interesting origin. Unlike all the other demon lords save one, Samael was once an angel serving in Heaven. After the creation of Hell, he was sent there to act as the lord of righteous wrath, but he was eventually corrupted and came to represent wrath in all forms. It's obvious how he tempts people with violent tempers, but he also tempts people by inciting them with righteous anger for injustices they have personal feelings about. ]
