My visor lights up.
I look around my surroundings.
Where am I?
I fail any attempts at connecting with the KilTek servers.
There's rusted, damaged machinery and dust all around me; I seem to be in some kind of abandoned warehouse.
An annoying voice can be heard babbling about.
"...so hopefully I should be able to find something worth it in this garbage dump. After all that trouble I went through to get here..."
Looks like a short green humanoid female is talking to herself as she shuffles through scrap and debris.
She has green skin, long auburn hair, and is dressed in rather crude, revealing clothing.
"...I mean, I'm the only one who knows about that secret passage, and only a goblin can fit through it anyway. No one else is getting past those security cameras and drones..."
Looks like this so-called 'goblin' has made her way into a KilTec facility. And considering the state of my surroundings, a substantial amount of time must have passed for a place like this to be in such poor conditions.
"...I could always—huh? what is that, something shiny? Wait that looks like a guy... Is that some sort of robot person!?"
The goblin creature has located me. It seems to not know what exactly I am.
I am in fact a high-level security droid made to intercept intruders. Differently from drones, I'm equipped with an AI to be able to communicate with human personnel and better adapt to unique intrusion circumstances.
However, I have no directives right now. Something must have happened to my memory banks. I also have no recollection of any previous activity.
"Hello? Can you speak, robot guy? Are you really a robot? You look nothing like the drones and killer robots out there..."
She's trying to communicate with me.
I wonder what I should do. I'm well equipped to torture this intruder in many ways, but I could also reason with it peacefully.
Since I've no directives, I'm pretty much free to do whatever I want.
