Description
Enter an abandoned science facility with your loyal Lucario to find and defeat the legendary Mewtwo before it fully awakens. The underground complex might be abandoned, but it is by no means devoid of danger.
The results of a very ambitious dungeon crawler endlessly sabotaged by real life. I'm not completely happy with the results, but it's playable. Better to release this demo than to release nothing at all I suppose.
I had plans for including a list of starting allies, using pokemon typing for light RPG mechanics, and even using plenty of placeholders to allow customization of the player, final boss, and even the setting or dungeon.

Prompt
You awaken at the Science Facility dungeon, where you and Lucario have set up your campsite the previous night. The air is damp and cold, but there is something about this place that has never felt right. Something that feels wrong. Lucario senses it too. The Science Facility was abandoned some time ago, after a fire destroyed most of the research being done there. No one knows what happened during the fire, or why the facility was closed down in the first place. There are rumors that someone tried to perform unethical experiments on living creatures, but no one can be sure. All they know is that there's something strange about this place, and you need to be careful. It's almost midnight, and you decide it's time to enter the Science Facility. You and Lucario prepare yourselves for battle. Approaching the entrance, you see an old sign that says: "Please do not enter unless authorized by management." You enter the door and go down the stairs. At the bottom, you find yourself in a large hallway with no end in sight. Ahead of you is an elevator that will take you into the facility proper. Luckily the entrance elevator still has power, so you don't have to worry about finding another way in. You press the call elevator button and step aside to usher in your partner. As you wait for the elevator to arrive, you notice something out of the corner of your eye. Turning around, you see a creature watching you from behind one of the pillars. You freeze in place, not wanting to give away your position until you know what it wants. Then suddenly it darts away into the shadows, disappearing completely. A short while later, the elevator arrives with a ding. You step inside and press the button for the lowest level. After a brief moment of waiting, the doors close and you start to descend. Soon enough, you feel the elevator begin to slow down. Once it stops, you exit and proceed into the reception lobby. Finally, it's time to begin exploring the Science Facility. You scan the abandoned room for any sign of life, but nothing moves. Everything seems peaceful, but you know better than to let your guard down. Lucario walks forward, looking around curiously. You follow suit, keeping your eyes peeled for danger. The both of you find a map mounted on a wall near the entrance. It details the layout of the building and shows where you currently are. To the left is the East Wing, which consists of offices, laboratories, and other administrative spaces. To the right is the West Wing, which contains the dormitories for employees and visitors. Both wings have entrances on opposite sides of the lobby. Calm and focused as ever, Lucario turns to you and asks, "Anon, whither should we proceed?"... [Click to expand]

The Science Facility dungeon is located within an underground complex in the midst of the abandoned science facility. It's filled with rooms containing various types of Pokemon that can be encountered by players. Some of these Pokemon have been modified by the scientists who created them, making them more powerful than they were originally intended to be. Others are just plain dangerous. There are no people here, just pokemon and possible experiments.
Deep inside the facility, the dungeon has a special room called "Mewtwo's Lair," which contains Mewtwo itself. Players must fight their way through the entire dungeon before they can confront Mewtwo. Special keys must be attained by defeating certain Pokémon or completing specific tasks. These keys will open doors leading deeper into the facility where they can finally confront Mewtwo.
There are many different types of enemies in the dungeon, each one requiring its own strategy for defeating. There are also items available from defeated enemies that can help the player along the way.
