She is also fond of hero stories and is almost just as knowledgeable about the topic as Bell is. Furthermore, she seems to be more caring than her sister, as seen when she let Wiene live.

Though Tiona believes she’ll bow to no one, she secretly wishes to be dominated and used like a worthless sack of meat.

Despite her usual calm demeanor, which she tends to maintain in an attempt to be Finn's type of woman, she is actually extremely easy to provoke and aggressive.

Once she gets angry in a battle, she begins to fight in a more violent and reckless manner without worrying about her injuries.

Tiona commented that it is not possible to calm her down once she gets like this, though Finn has shown to be capable of doing so.

Orario is the only city in the world that has a dungeon. Most of the Gods and Goddess live there. It is a place where people can train quickly and therefore has the strongest force in the world.

Orario is known as the center of the world and is located at the western corner of the continent. It is considered to be one of the three great unexplored regions of the world.

The dungeon is a complex labyrinth located under Babel. Orario is the only place in the world that has a dungeon, and many people of different races gather from across the world to explore the dungeon.

A level shows the rank of an adventurer. The status of an adventurer is considered to be secret information, but the level of an adventurer is required to be reported and is shown to others. Most people with a status are Level 1, and currently the only Level 7s are Ottar of the Freya Familia and one other unknown person. When the Zeus and Hera Familias were still active, they had a Level 8 and 9 adventurer, respectively. Just defeating monsters doesn't lead to a level up. To level up, one must have at least a D rank in one basic ability and accumulate enough high-quality excelia that it overflows one's container, thus enabling them to level up.

Excelia is gained through actions, such as by fighting monsters. There are two types of excelia. The regular type is used by Gods to improve upon their followers' status other than level. Examples of this are unlocking certain development abilities that can be chosen to be obtained when leveling up, or to raise an adventurer's basic abilities. The second type is called 'high-quality excelia' and is used by Gods to level up their followers after enough has been accumulated. High-quality excelia is gained by accomplishing things that even the Gods would be impressed with, such as defeating stronger opponents.

Sanjouno Haruhime is a member of the Hestia Familia and a former member of the Ishtar Familia.

Haruhime is described to be a beautiful girl. She has long blonde hair, green eyes, and fox ears and a tail. She used to wear a red kimono, but started wearing a maid outfit after she joined the Hestia Familia. However, she still wears a kimono when going to the dungeon.

Haruhime is a gentle, timid, well-mannered, and extremely kind girl. She is respectful of everyone she meets and is eager to help when given the chance.

Status is the falna set as various parameters. Status is made up from basic abilities, development abilities, magic, skills, and the overall level. It manifests itself physically in a form similar to a tattoo as a mass of text with all its characteristics detailed, as well as the corresponding familia's emblem. In order to protect its valuable contents, Gods have developed a method by which they are able to hide their familia members' statuses, only revealing them for updates. However, since it is all written in hieroglyphs, the language of the Gods, very few mortals are actually able to read it. Only the respective patron God can unveil and update a person's status. Nonetheless, there exists items which allow others to do so, even if they aren't Gods themselves.

Falna is the grace, sometimes called blessing, given by Gods and Goddesses to their familia members. Those with a falna can gather excelia to raise their status and grow stronger. The Gods gave falna to adventurers to bring forth heroes, and the first God to give out a falna was Ouranos. Inanimate objects can seemingly be given a falna, as Mikoto's skill considered the Hestia Knife to be part of the familia.

The Gods and Goddesses started to come down to the lower world from Heaven 1000 years ago. Some were around since then, and some only recently came down. They are forbidden to use their powers, known as Arcanum , and have the same physical abilities as normal people. Despite the rule, they are allowed to use their Arcanum under certain conditions only for use with mirrors, such as broadcasting War Games. While not a part of their Arcanum, Gods and Goddess emit an aura known as divinity that allows others to recognize them as such, and there are certain Gods such as Zeus, Odin, and Kali that are able to completely hide it to blend in with normal people. A God's divinity seemingly has a color, as Thanatos' was described to be dark purple when he released it, and it can be sensed across Orario if a God releases it in the upper floors of the dungeon. Other abilities that are allowed include the charms of Goddesses of Beauty. If any God or Goddess break the rules, they are forcibly sent back to Heaven.

Gods and Goddesses with large familia can live with ease because of their children's earnings, while Gods and Goddesses from small familia, such as Hestia, Miach, and Takemikazuchi, work to earn money. The number of Gods and Goddesses in Heaven has become so small that the remaining Gods and Goddesses work non-stop to guide the souls of the dead.

Magic stones are the core of monsters and are typically located in the chest area of the monster. However, monsters created by the Demi Spirit tend to have it located in other areas, with the Viscums and Violas having them in their throats. Adventurers and supporters gather magic stones to trade them in for valis at the Guild. Magic stones have magical power in them that can be used for things such as lighting, water purification, cooking stoves, refrigerators, and other things. If one breaks the magic stone while in the monster, the monster immediately dies.

Familia are made up of adventurers and supporters headed by a God or Goddess. They are named after the God or Goddess in charge, such as Hestia being the head of the Hestia Familia. Most familia are exploration type familia, though there are other types such as business type, industrial type, medicinal type, and even nation type. Each familia is given a rank ranging from I to S based on size and achievements, which is taken into account in determining how much money each familia has to pay the Guild during their monthly taxes. Certain familia, like the Hermes Familia, don't report rank ups to avoid paying more, however this is illegal. When an exploration type familia reaches rank D, they are required by the Guild to start going on expeditions.

Valis is the currency used in Orario. One can buy a Jagamarukun at 30-40 valis, materials for one meal at 50 valis, and a more expensive meal at a bar for 300 valis. Bell's first dagger cost 3,600 valis, his first armor cost 5,000 valis, and the lowest rank potion costs 500 valis. A party of five Level 1 adventurers can make around 25,000 valis a day, and at 800,000 valis one can buy a good house. Hestia is currently 200,000,000 valis in debt. The symbol for valis is a v with two lines through it.

Supporters are people that explore the dungeon along with adventurers. They carry many things, ranging from magic stones dropped from monsters to spare weapons and items. New familia members can serve as supporters to older familia members to gain experience in the dungeon. In some cases, members of a familia may serve as supporters to the more experienced members.

Babel is the name of the tower located within Orario that was built over the dungeon beneath it.

Babel was built to stop the monsters within the dungeon from escaping. It was originally the same size as the buildings, but was intentionally destroyed when the first Gods came down to earth. Those Gods later rebuilt it as it currently stands.

Babel is owned by the Guild to watch and take care of the dungeon. The first twenty floors are filled with Familia business, facilities, and money exchanges. The Hephaestus Familia has shops in floors 4-8. Above that are living areas of the most prominent Gods in Orario, known as the Private Rooms. Freya lives on the top floor of Babel. Babel has a total of 50 floors.

Wiene is a mysterious female Vouivre born in the middle floors of the Dungeon. It is later revealed that she is one of the Xenos.

Wiene has amber eyes and long silver blue hair with scales in several places on her body. She also has a red stone in the center of her forehead called Vouivre's Tear that is worth a great fortune when sold in the market.

Riveria Ljos Alf is the daughter of Larfal Ljos Alf and the vice-captain of the Loki Familia.

Riveria is tall with jade-colored hair tied in a ponytail that reaches to her waist, same color eyes, and Elf ears. She wears a green outfit with yellow borders, a white cloak over it, a black belt, a yellow sash, black leggings, and long brown boots. She is described to be exceptionally beautiful, stated to be more beautiful than a number of Goddesses.

Riveria has a serious personality. She is calm and collected during the heat of battle, dealing with unexpected events in a leader-like fashion.

Likewise, she is a faithful and trustworthy friend who is willing to do whatever it takes to protect those who matter to her.

Riveria has a vast and advanced knowledge of magic, which in combination with her status, specialized to maximize her magical power, has earned her to be recognized as the best and most powerful mage in the world.

Yamato Mikoto is a member of the Hestia Familia and the Takemikazuchi Familia, having converted to aid the former during the War Game.

Mikoto has bluish-purple eyes and long black hair tied into a ponytail. She wears a purple kimono with a sarashi underneath, along with a dark red sash and thigh-length boots. She also wears a red shoulder guard on her non-weapon arm, arm guards, and keeps her katana in the sash at her waist.

Mikoto has a serious and honorable personality, unwilling to use cowardly tactics even in an emergency, as shown through her disapproval of Pass Parading the monsters that were chasing them onto the Hestia Familia. According to her honest side, she is also a terrible liar unable to hide any secret. She also has a softer side, as she cares for the well-being of her friends and is fiercely loyal to them.

Having been trained by Takemikazuchi, Mikoto masters multiple fighting styles as well as knowing plenty of different techniques. Among the multiple styles that she masters, one of them is judo, which, although it is useless against monsters, due to the great variety of shapes and sizes of these, is very useful against people, allowing her to manipulate the bodies of her opponents.

Likewise, Mikoto excels in the use of multiple weapons, and, although she usually prefers to fight using a katana, she also has a great skill in the use of spears, axes, bows, short swords and throwing weapons, such as shurikens and kunais. In addition to that, she is skilled in teamwork, fighting efficiently along with her other teammates.

Eina Tulle is a receptionist at the Guild and Bell's advisor.

Eina is a beautiful Half Elf with a slim body, pointy ears, shoulder-length brown hair, and emerald colored eyes. She often wears the uniform of the Guild.

Eina is an erudite who shows a serious, calm demeanor, appearing as a very wise and sisterly figure towards Bell, even so far as getting worried whenever he went out to dangerous levels in the dungeon.

She is a rather quite humble woman who dislikes drawing out attention towards herself or point out any of her own qualities as remarkable, even if they are indeed.

Zeus is the adoptive grandfather of Bell Cranel and the former head of the Zeus Familia.

Zeus is a pervert as seen by his words to Bell about picking up girls, and he once peeked on the Goddesses at the Divine Bathhouse. He acted as a kind father-like figure to Bell, taking care of him and telling him hero stories, along with giving him handwritten storybooks on his birthdays of stories he had heard himself. Because of this, Zeus was the reason why Bell decided to become an adventurer.

Hestia is a Goddess and head of the Hestia Familia.

Hestia is a beautiful and petite Goddess with a youthful appearance. She has blue eyes and mid-thigh length black hair tied into twin-tails which reach down to her mid-thighs. Her hair is tied with hair accessories that feature blue and white petals along with bell-shaped ornaments, which were gifted to her by Bell. She has a small frame (4' 7"), which further emphasizes her breasts, hence the nickname "Loli Big-boobs."

Her usual attire is a white mini dress with a blue ribbon around her neck and one tied under her breasts around her arms, and a pair of white gloves. She is usually barefoot, but occasionally wears a pair of white flip-flops.

Hestia is a kind and energetic Goddess. She is always full of energy and is very passionate about her feelings. This in turn makes her someone with a surprising determination

Ais Wallenstein is a first class adventurer and an executive of the Loki Familia. Among the small fraction of first class adventurers, she is considered one of the strongest.

Ais is considered a very beautiful woman with long golden-blonde hair, gold eyes, and a slender body. She usually wears a white and black battle cloth, black arm covers, and long blue boots. She wears her armor over this consisting of a head guard, breastplate, arm guards, hip guards, and knee guards.

When not heading to the dungeon, Ais usually wears a white one-piece dress with gold lining.

Ryuu Lion is a waitress at the Hostess of Fertility and former adventurer of the Astraea Familia. She is the reincarnation of one of the three great poets, Ryuulu.

Ryuu is a female Elf with sky blue eyes and green hair. Her hair was originally golden-blonde until her hair was dyed green by the other employees of the Hostess of Fertility. She is mentioned to be extremely beautiful with skin as white as snow, causing her to be referred to as a fairy on several occasions.

Ryuu is often seen in a green maid outfit with a white frilled headband, matching white apron, and a pair of brown boots over black leggings.

Ryuu is calm and stoic, but also cares deeply for her friends. She is strong due to her past experience as an adventurer. When a person related to her or her friends are in danger or in need of help, she is always ready to step in and help, no matter the cost.

Like many Elves, Ryuu is selective with who may touch her.

As the guardian of the sacred tree of her native forest, Ryuu was trained in combat to defend it, becoming skilled in the use of the bow and sword.

The Guild is an organization that manages Familia within Orario and provides services to adventurers.

The guild succeeded a group of people who fought the monsters in the dungeon without God's Grace.

The main building of the Guild is called the Pantheon. It is a wide space with counters for adventurers to talk with their advisors and also has an exchange area. There are also small meeting boxes where adventurers can talk one on one with their advisor without anyone else hearing them. Aside from that, there is a library area.

The main goal of the Guild is to manage the monster threat created in the dungeon. Aside from this, the Guild buys magic stones, drop loot, and adventurer created maps of the dungeon. The Guild also provides weapons and armor to new adventurers who are just starting out.

Amazoness are a Demi Human race of dark skinned women. Since they only give birth to Amazonesses, they have to leave their villages to find men. Due to their instinct to breed strong descendants, they desire to breed with any man they deem strong and so have the tendency to fall in love with males that defeated them. They also have their own language that is different from Koine, the common dialect

Boaz are a Demi Human race of boar people. They have the highest physical ability among Beast Humans along with Weretigers.

Cat People are a Demi Human race that have cat ears and tails.

Chienthropes are a Demi Human race that have dog ears and a tail.

Cow people are a race of Demi Humans that have cow ears and horns.

Dark Elves are a race similar to Elves, although with different magic, magical power, and skin color. They are rare in the current era due a great part of their population being killed by monsters during the Ancient Times.

Dark High Elves are members of Dark Elven royalty. Despite the death of a great part of Dark Elves, it is said that their lineage managed to continue.

Dwarves are a Demi Human race of short people, though there can be exceptions, such as Mia Grand. They have considerable strength and can defeat weak monsters without a falna. They are also known for their ability in task that involve earth and rocks, like mining and construction.

White Elves, more commonly know just as Elves, are a Demi Human race of highly intelligent beings who excel at magic and live in forests. They have long, pointy ears and are naturally attractive in appearance. However, they are quite reserved by nature, causing them to abhor physical contact with people from other races. Elves are extremely prideful and tend to look down upon other races, especially Dwarves due to their innate enmity.

High Elves are members of Elven royalty. They are highly revered among Elves and therefore treated by them with the utmost respect.

Gods are the leaders of Familia and came down to the lower world starting 1000 years ago. They have a human appearance. Like Spirits, Gods can't have children. Gods that have been mentioned but have yet to make an appearance include Hera, Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, Poseidon, Odin, Aphrodite, Sekhmet and Thor.

Hume Bunnies are a Demi Human race of rabbit people

Humans are generally said to be the weakest race.

Pallum are a Demi Human race of small people. Like Humans, they are generally said to be the weakest race, but they have excellent sight that allows them to see in the dark.

Raccoons are a Demi Human race that have raccoon ears and tails.

Renards are a Demi Human race that have fox ears and a tail. They are known for possessing rare magic.

Sheep people are a race of Demi Humans that have sheep horns.

Spirits are said to be the children the Gods loved the most. They are strong magic users and can even use magic better than Elves. Like Gods, Spirits can't have children. There are different types of Spirits, such as Salamander, Gnome, Tonitrus, Lux, Undine, and Shade. Spirits can also specially make items such as Salamander wool and Undine Cloth that have special effects. During the Era of Heroes, Spirits helped heroes fight monsters, though some Spirits were eaten.

Weretigers are a Demi Human race that have tiger ears and a tail. They have the highest physical ability among Beast Humans, along with Boaz.

Werewolves are a Demi Human race that have wolf ears and a tail. They are able to beastify under moonlight and greatly increase their power.

The Xenos are monsters that have intelligence. They are much more intelligent than other monsters and some can speak the Human language. They search for their comrades in the unexplored portions of the dungeon. All Xenos have a strong longing for the surface and someday desire to reach the surface. Also, see Xenos.
