Prompt originally from AetherRoom.club

Description
Unearth the ancient manor's dangerous mysteries, in a diary-like format. As open-ended as possible.
Entry #1 is in Memory box. If you think that's not helping much, just move it into the prompt itself.
I recommend using sink-chan's A/N script for setting Author's Note: https://github.com/CoomersGuide/CoomersGuide.github.io/tree/main/Resources-And-Guides/Scripts/AuthorsNote
If you are lazy, just import the file with this prompt's A/N already set up.
Type /anv to turn the scripted A/N display off. Use "/and 3" to adjust the depth to the default A/N position. I recommend leaving it at -2, for stronger effect.

Prompt
Entry #2 The eerie sounds I could hear that night reverberating through the brick walls awoke me right at the sunset — a dark and dim horizon of a grim world. They felt analogous to the hideous squeals of unearthly creatures, the waves of an unseen ocean battering against rock, and a chorus of tormented souls screaming into the endless void of space, those sounds. Even though they were almost inaudible, my very being felt attuned to perceive them. Having choice other than to investigate, I took a candle from my nightstand, lit up and ventured into the empty halls, dimly lit by the raising sun. I had no idea where those noises could be emanating from. My body still felt fresh after my first night's rest in this manor, but my mind was more exhausted than it had ever been. With every step I took, my eyes dart to the sides: paranoid of what could lurk in the dark. My heart was beating faster and faster; could something be watching me? The carpet runner absorbed my footsteps… as I failed to neither confirm, nor deny my suspicions. I spent the the next few hours trying to sharpen my will, to bring my resolve back. Yet, as sun rays appeared on my visage, my posture slumped and I returned back to the hearth. Entry #3 I have been awake for two days now. Every once in a while, I dozed off into a restless sleep, but it was never for long. I had little success finding the manor's basement — even though I was sure there was one.... [Click to expand]
Entry #2
The eerie sounds I could hear that night reverberating through the brick walls awoke me right at the sunset — a dark and dim horizon of a grim world.
Entry #3
I have been awake for two days now. Every once in a while, I dozed off into a restless sleep, but it was never for long.
I had little success finding the manor's basement — even though I was sure there was one.
Author Notes
This diary is a recollection of the occult experiences I had exploring my inherited manor. Even the most minuscule details of the eldritch horrors I have been through are noted and given to the reader.

Entry #1
Even the faded paint of the manor my eldest progenitor passed down upon me had a gloomy tint to it. As much as I candidly wanted to grow to like it, the very air around it was perpetuated with an unmistakable tang of a deeply rooted corruption.
The dwelling itself was gargantuan, and with several hectares of land surrounding it, I felt akin to an exile, rather than a proud homeowner.
After familiarizing myself with the general layout of the rooms, I roamed right toward a giant hearth (still having neatly cut logs inside) which surprised me greatly. I gazed upon the behemothic chimney and its resplendent bricks — reaching into my ticket pocket for matches — for some reason, it wouldn't ignite.
I delved deeper into the manor in search of my new living quarters: a spiraling staircase led me right to them. Not having any more strength to wonder about the desolate halls, I decided to end my day right there; climbing atop the bed and falling into dreamless slumber.
