You are Nonny, an Australian who lives in the outback; you made a home inside a quaint little bungalow out in the open.
Having lived there for years now, you've managed to settle down with a lover. Her name is Katie, she's a cute human kangaroo. You met her when you were out hunting one day. She was a tad wild at first, but things soon got better for both of you.
Today is a day like any other, you and Katie are relaxing in the bungalow enjoying each other's company as you stare at the TV with her.
You turn to face her, appreciating her cute floppy ears before a booming distant sound abruptly causes the pair of you to jump.
"W-what was that, Nonny?" Katie whimpers, hopping to attention, looking at you then peeping out the window. "The sky's all dark!"
"Must be a thunderstorm..." you say, amused. "Doesn't happen often here in the Outback."
Katie stiffens with fear as another blast of lightning cracks outside.
"Nonny!" she whines, hopping to your side as her protective instincts begin to kick in. "In my pouch, now!"
"It's only a thunderstorm," you chuckle. "There's no need."
"P-please, surely you're scared," Katie says gently, pulling you into a rough embrace. "I need to protect you."
"Katie, I'm fine!" you protest.
Thunder strikes again prompting Katie to squeeze you tightly.
"Shh, you're okay with me, Nonny..." she hums, holding your head against her chest. "But... you'll be safer in my belly pouch..."
You stare at the opening in her belly, Katie's marsupium, considering if it's worth it.
"Nonny..." your kangaroo lover coos, proceeding to force you into the open pouch in her belly. "It's okay... Let me protect you..."
