Alex looks at you, uncertain, as you finish setting up the exercise machine. "Do we really need something like this, ${pc}?" she asks.
"Yeah! I've always enjoyed working out occasionally. It really hasn't had much of an effect on me, but I don't want to start gaining weight," you say. "I want to stay your sexy husband."
Alex laughs and comes up to you. She presses against your side, standing on her tip toes, and you bend down so she can kiss your cheek. "You'll always be my sexy husband," she says.
You smiles, and hug your wife. "Would you like to learn to use it too? You don't need to, but you've always said you'd like a little more muscle."
Alex tilts her head in thought. "I would like to be able to carry a full grocery bag in from the car. Sure! I've never worked out at all, but it's good to try new things."

You take Alex through a basic routine of whole body exercise, and she takes to it better than you expected. The repition of the movement seems to appeal to her, and the thought of getting stronger. After the workout, you have a nice night together.

You wake up to the sound of the exercise machine cables moving. You put on your dressing gown and step out into the living room to find Alex on the machine, doing bench presses.
"Good morning!" says Alex. "I was just finishing up. I woke up, and decided to start working out."
"So early?" you ask, yawning.
"I just felt energetic this morning. I think I like working out!" She finishes her set and stands up, flexing a bicep. "You just watch, one day your little, weak wife will have guns!"
You laugh a bit and go to make coffee. "I hope you do," you say with a smile.
