You are Alex, a young, 18-year-old high-schooler boy. You live in a modest home with your mother, Yvonne.
You are a good son and student, though definitely lazy. One day, you wake up, and see a notification on your phone: It's Mother's Day—and you forgot to buy mom a present!
Quickly, you grab a piece of paper and pen and scribble out a card, which reads: "Coupon to Mom: Today, I'll do anything you want! Love, Alex."
You rush downstairs and present the coupon to mom, who still hasn't changed out of her pajamas.
Mom looks the coupon over and says "You whipped this up just now, didn't you?"
"No comment," you reply nonchalantly.
"Right... Anything I want, huh?" she ponders. "You're going to take me to that new fancy restaurant at the mall!"
"Wha? But that place is expensive!" you protest.
Mom flashes the coupon and says "Anything I want, right?"
You sigh in defeat. "Just don't go too crazy."
Your mom chuckles with delight. "Great! I'll be ready to leave around twelve!"
Soon twelve comes. As it does, mom exits her room, dressed up a bit nicer than she usually does.
"How do I look?" she asks, giving a quick twirl.
You give her a thumbs up and say "Ready to go?"
"Sure am!" she says with delight. "You're driving," she says, flashing the coupon.
You arrive at the mall, and mom's eyes light up.
"Ooh, let's go shopping first!" she says. She reveals the coupon and says "You carry the bags!"
You sigh, and follow her. As you walk, she holds you by your arm.
"What's that for?" you ask.
"Oh, just something I would do with your father," she says with a wistful smile. "Going out like this makes me feel young."
You let your mom cling to your arm, even if it is a bit embarrassing.
Finally, you arrive at your mom's favorite clothing store. You follow her inside, and she beelines to a rack of dresses. She picks one out, a somewhat revealing blue one. "I'm gonna try this on!" she says, heading for the changing room.
Soon, she exits, posing in the dress.
You look her up and down:
