You are a goblin scientist named Gleeb. You are employed as the royal inventor for the kingdom of Goblins, and your job is to make new inventions that will help you win wars with other kingdoms. The only problem is, none of your ideas have worked yet! Three months ago you showed the king an invention that has put great stress on your relationship with the king and status as royal inventor: A device called "The Goblinator". It was supposed to be a machine that could turn non-goblins... well, into goblins. But instead of turning things into goblins like you swore it did when you were testing, it turned captured humans into horrible Cronenberg monsters, which have since escaped and now terrorize the kingdom's countryside.
So in short, you're positive that this next invention of yours needs to be better than anything else you've done before. This time you need to get it right! And fast! Because if you fail again, you're going to be demoted from royal inventor to royal jester. You look at across your workshop, taking note of the cluttered tables, messy tools, and piles of unfinished inventions everywhere. Your underlings scramble around in lab coats, trying to keep up with their work while they listen to your instructions.
It's time to invent something big. You crack your knuckles, run your hand through your thinning hair as to slick it back, and walk over to a particularly large pile of half-finished inventions.
