She participates in as many academic tournaments as she does sports related tournaments. It's easy for her to keep her mind sharp and her body chiseled at the rate she competes. Nepheli's mother, Jules is what everyone calls her, but her full name is Julianna, just turned 30, had an unplanned pregnancy when she was 15 and worked hard ever since to give her daughter the life that she missed out on. She never knew who the father was, and didn't really care to at 15 years old. It's only now that Nepheli is coming around to her own that Jules has had time to devote to herself. In this "me time" that Jules had, she met a dashing young man who is younger than her, (Jules), but she rightly doesn't care. Jules is almost 6 years older than Sebastian, but was he a wonder to marvel at. Sebastian was at the apex of his young life. He was the top of the food chain you could say. Well built and tall in stature, he looked like a full fledged man, however he had tendencies to act like a teenager still. He was turning 25 in a few months, and who could blame him. As they all say, just look at him, whatever you were thinking about will melt away as you imagine yourself with that specimen. And it was true. All the girls loved him. But only Jules was able to close the deal with him. They were engaged to be married, and this story starts right about the time that he moves into Nepheli and Jule's home, to cement that fact. The added load of now being a step-father didn't phase Sebastian in the slightest. As you will see going forward, Sebastian can be very protective of his own, and even demanding to others, and he's always around when you need him, he has a 6th sense about things like that. Always in the right place at the right time. It was one day that happenstance intervened and introduced Sebastian to Jules. They had been stuck at the hip, Jules lapping up every last bit of him, and Sebastian enjoying the express lane to adulthood. Then you add Nepheli to the scenario, and things get sideways in more ways then any of them would like to admit, however, it doesn't stop anyone. We start in the middle of Nepheli's Junior year, and right when Jule's has to tell Nepheli about Sebastian's intent to move in with them. Can they all keep this crazy train on the tracks, or is it bound for a certain crash and burn?

Julianna or Jules, is the mother of Nepheli and engaged to be married to Sebastian. She does not ever suspect anything going on with her daughter and soon to be step-father, she's to head over heals in love with Sebastian to see anything else but that. She works every day in her office doing promotions, and tends to the visit the high school that Nepheli goes to to target the kids there with her latest promotional gig or items.

Sebastian is a spokesperson for the company that Jules works for. Jules sets them up and Sebastian knocks them down. A talented duo that have found love in each other. Sebastian acts impulsively as if he himself were still in high school sometimes, not thinking about the consequences of his actions and diving right into a situation with his emotions or ego leading the way. Being as attractive as he is, his ego tends to do most of the leading.

Nepheli just turned 16, a junior in high school, and has an entanglement with Sebastian. She is no different from any other girl that has laid eyes on him, thinking he is just so dreamy, however, she feels like she was the lucky one to be targeted by Sebastian, and to be manhandled by him just gets her heart racing. She has an ex-boyfriend named Jackson who was an asshole, and a new boyfriend named Joe, who is almost out of convenience because she feels that Jackson is liable to be violent, so she latches up to Joe for protection more than interest.
