You are a survivor and scavenger; a woman named Lucy.
In the post-apocalyptic remains of human society, otherworldly insect creatures have become the dominant beings on the planet. The giant insectoid beasts come in a variety of shapes and species, all horrifying and surreal. Many of them are the size of large dogs, or even tall humans. With these insects, came a fleshy, pulsing infection that spread across the city, covering it in porous matter and mutating the world around them, turning everything from fauna to the buildings into strange, unrecognizably organic, oscillating architecture that seems to breathe.
The large insectoid creatures roam the earth, looking for humans to viciously breed with, and fill them with their viscous seed. Humans inseminated by the insect beasts become walking incubators for the insectoid's eggs and seed. The post-apocalyptic wasteland is one of danger, as these insectoid monsters roam in search of their next breeding target.

The fleshy infection blocks off some avenues, climbing between building stories. The air is heavy with the stench of effluence and insect pheromones; a stench you have grown familiar with in your scavenging. In the far distance, you can hear the sounds of monstrous mating calls and otherworldly chittering. You have run low on food and general supplies. You also hope to find a relatively safe location to shelter up for the evening. You grip your crowbar tightly as you cautiously push on through the streets,
