Prompt
"Nnnghh..." You try to force your eyes to stay closed, but the sunlight is bothering you. The pleasant dream you were in slowly fades as you return to consciousness, and as the dream fades, a strong pain in your body surfaces, as if to replace it. It was like you had slept in a bad position all night. Yes, your old mattress should have been replaced a month ago, but still... You feel something different. Your bed feels very hard, harder than usual, and you see to have slept in a shrunken position. Not to mention that you feel as if something hard is squeezing your body in several places. You open your eyes and look around. Immediately, you feel disoriented. You are clearly not in your apartment! The white tiled walls and floor of your room have been replaced by polished wooden walls and floors. The scarce cheap furniture from IKEIA, too, have been replaced by handcrafted furniture made of stone and wood. And even your bed have changed, well, shrunk in size - it looks like a cradle from how small it is now! In fact, the whole room seems to have become some kind of miniature rustic dwelling. Looking closely, all the furniture seems too small for a human, and when you stand up, you end up having to squat your head a little to keep it from hitting the ceiling. "W-what the hell...?" You grumble, the adrenaline rush of waking up in a strange place immediately clearing your mind of any remaining sleep you had. How had you ended up in what was for all intents and purposes a dollhouse? Trying to take a step forward, you realize something else. That pain you felt, that feeling of something hard and heavy squeezing you, turns out to be a full armor of steel covering your body. That's enough to make you almost freak out. Why the hell are you wearing armor in a fucking dollhouse? While you are freaking out, you don't notice how a door on the other side of the room opens, and a small creature enters the room. "Sir ${Your name}, I just came to tell ya' that breakfast is served downstairs." A small voice said, as I stared in astonishment at the small creature that had spoken. She was a humanoid creature, so short that she was about knee-high, but still clearly adult, judging by the size of her thighs and breasts. Her skin was green, her head and eyes slightly larger than normal, like something out of a cartoon, and her ears were big and pointed. The little creature stared at me with a look of indifference, and when she realized that I wasn't answering, she arched an eyebrow. "Is something wrong, sir? Why with the long face?" "W-what are you? Where am I?" That was all you could say, your voice trembling. The creature frowned slightly, confused. "You are Sir ${Your name}, and you are at the Sleepy Goblin's tavern. Did you drink too much last night?" She seemed more annoyed than concerned. Wait, had she said "sleepy goblin"? A goblin, like in fantasy stories? Is that what she was? "I-I don't know how I got here..." You tried to say, wanting very much to ask her again what she was, but feeling that this would be too rude. "Unless you lied and are just some drunk... You said you were Sir ${Your name}, a knight on a mission to slay a dragon. You are in the town of Trebost..." She repeated, leaning forward slightly as if she hoped this would jog your memory. "You know, in the kingdom of Smolarion...?" She insisted, but still nothing, you don't know what she is talking about. Finally, the goblin seemed to give up. "Look, I have other things to do. Breakfast is served downstairs, and if you are going to sleep over, remember that you have to pay for another night here." She turned and closed the door she had come in through, leaving you alone in the room again. You sat up in that small bed. There was a lot to process there. What to do next?... [Click to expand]

Author Notes
This is a fantasy story written with great detail and verbose descriptions. In this chapter, I would like to put great emphasis on describing the world around you and the little folk that inhabits it.
Memory
Your name is ${Your name}, and you woke up in the fantastic kingdom of Smolarion. You are apparently a knight on a quest to slay a dragon, although you don't remember any of this. This world seems to be inhabited only by fantastic creatures of low stature, smaller than you.

  • Gnome

Gnomes are small humanoids known for their eccentric sense of humor, inquisitiveness, and engineering prowess. Gnomes have long spindly fingers and large heads, which have a subtly different shape than those of other humanoids. Gnomes tend to be around three feet in height and unnervingly slender, although slightly taller than halflings. Compared to their bodies, they have surprising toughness, as their bones are of a harder but lighter cast than those of humans. Male gnomes tend to be slightly larger and not as slender. Females tend to be slightly smaller and more feminine, possessing longer eyelashes, slimmer waists, and many of the other differences also exhibited by humans. Gnomes are an intelligent and innately curious race. Gnomes may lack the drive and ambition of other races, but their creativity gives them a strong ability for ingenuity.
  • Yordle

The Yordle are a race of spirits who generally take the appearance of mammalian bipeds. They mostly reside in mystical planes, but venture down to live in inumerous locations in Smolarion. Yordles are sometimes sexually dimorphic and much shorter than humans; both sexes rarely exceed 1 meter tall, with most averaging between 0.5 and 0.8 meters. Their skin texture ranges from being lightly covered in fur, to moderately fuzzy, to ultimately being excessively bushy. The Yordle race have innate magic within them which helps them achieve extraordinary things usually impossible for someone of their stature. Also, they require far more social interaction with their own kind than humans do. They generally are a peaceful and amicable race, often marked with streaks of joviality and light prankishness

With no great empires or kingdoms to call home, the Mouserat spend their lives carving a place for themselves in the cities of the larger races or in the untamed wilds. They form tight-knit communities where every member is expected to contribute to the success of the whole. Reaching a little over 1,20 meters, the Mouserat often go unnoticed in their day to day activities. Their diminutive stature and quiet demeanor make the Mouserat inoffensive to most, granting a certain detachment from the major conflicts and strife of the age. Fauns are well known for being curious and incredibly hedonistic. They are willing to go to any length to achieve their desires, giving little thought to the results of their actions, and often roped other creatures into participating in debauchery. • Ancarinum

According to ancient texts found throughout the Inner World, Ancarinum was created by Gaea during the time when dwarves walked amongst the stars. This makes it one of the oldest continents in existence today, but most scholars believe these stories are nothing more than myths.
  • goblin

Goblins are small, green (or yellow-green) creatures with pointy ears and high intelligence (though often little common sense). Goblins are slight and wiry, averaging 3 and a half feet in height, only slightly taller than Gnomes. They usually have big pointed ears and large mouths full of sharp teeth. Goggles usually cover their eyes, and various technological devices are strapped across their bodies. The female goblin is slightly shorter than the male, with particularly wide hips in comparison to humans.
  • Dwarf, dwarves

Dwarves are a hardy, friendly race of expert miners and craftsmen that live underground. They are shorter than humans, but taller than gnomes, taking advantage of their size when possible and relying on their robustness and strength when not. • Kobold

Kobolds are a small, craven, draconic race that dwells in places hidden from the sun, particularly subterranean caverns or densely wooded areas. They are noted for their skill at building traps and preparing ambushes, but also for their lack of intelligence in relation to all the other things. A kobold is a small, lizard-like humanoid with a short, stunted snout and a long, slithering tail. Their hands and feet end in sharp, clacking claws, and their scales appear in a variety of colors. Despite their diminutive size (they generally stand about three feet in height and weigh about 40 pounds), kobolds are quite agile and quick, able to easily keep up with the average human.
  • halfling

Halflings are short humanoids and among the smallest of the civilized races of Smolarion. They tend to be around three feet tall, though mostly human in proportion, with perhaps rounder heads and slightly more childlike proportions. Sexual dimorphism in halflings is similar to that in humans, with males being slightly larger and heavier, and females limmer and shorter, appearing much like a human woman of half size. Halflings get along well with most of the other races and were known for their curiosity and tendency to collect things.
  • Imp

An imp is a tiny humanoid creature, two feet tall, weighing ten pounds, with a three-foot wingspan and a scorpion-like tail. Beyond these common traits, imps look like small creatures with red skin and child-like features. Imps are vicious, manipulative fiends that are among the weakest beings in the infernal hierarchy. The mind of an imp is both insidious and duplicitous, delighting in the corruption of mortals through trickery and temptation.
