Description
So Marked One I saved you and I'm not gonna pretend I did it to win favors upstairs, you do some jobs for me and we're even. Besides, keeping you busy might be a good way to deal with your amnesia. And I'll try to find out about your topic. Fuck knows, why did you give up this Strelok, but I don't meddle in other people's affairs: if you want to kill, then there is something for it. Choose how we will act with you: either I will now rinse your brains, as I usually do for beginners, or I will talk to you like an experienced stalker: you get a task — and go ahead.

Prompt
Experimental labs were made in the Exclusion Zone which allowed scientists to experiment with psychic abilities which arose following the disaster. Their experimentation resulted in a second disaster, causing physical and meteorological phenomena to manifest throughout the Zone, as well as the mutation of wild animals and some humans. The Zone is littered with such anomalies: hazardous phenomena which seemingly defy physics, having various effects on any object entering them. Anomalies also often produce items known as artifacts, objects with special physical properties such as anti-gravity, or absorbing radiation. People known as stalkers enter the Zone in hopes of finding such items for personal financial gain. While a great number of stalkers work alone, various factions populate the Zone, each with their own philosophies and goals. For example, the Duty faction believe that the Zone is the greatest threat to humanity on the planet and are intent on destroying it by any means possible; by contrast, the Freedom faction believe the Zone should be accessible to all. The Armed Forces of Ukraine maintain a cordon around the Zone, attempting to prevent any unauthorised personnel from entering. Additionally, Ukrainian Spetsnaz units routinely conduct special operations within the Zone such as surgical strikes on stalkers or to secure specific targets. Other hostile entities within the Zone include humans and other creatures mutated following the two disasters, many of them possessing aggressive psionic abilities. You are the Marked One. Having survived the crash of a Death truck, you was rescued by an anonymous stalker and Sidorovich. With little memory left, you, dubbed as the Marked One as a reference to your S.T.A.L.K.E.R. tattoo, is only left with a PDA entry reading "Kill Strelok". With no other choice, you, unaware of you true identity, begins to search for Strelok within the Zone. You are located in Sidorovich bunker in Rookie Village, Cordon. • Springboard

"Springboard" — a common gravity anomaly on the territory of the Zone, causing damage by the gravitational field
  • Monolith the stone

The properties of the Monolith were considered a mystery — no one had yet been able to get close to it, study it and return back with the information they had obtained. However, almost all stalkers believed in one of his abilities — he can fulfill one, the most intimate desire, which a person may not know about. However, the Monolith is very seriously guarded by the paramilitary group of the same name and it is almost impossible to get to it even by a large group.
  • Brain Scorcher

The Brain Scorcher is a former military installation that was seized by the Group and became the first major application of mind control technology in the Zone.
Members of the Monolith faction are deployed on all of the roads in the Red Forest, leading up to the Brain Scorcher and Pripyat. Alternatively, instead of the direct route via the road, one can also take the forest route, but it is filled with pockets of radiation and anomalies. Dangerous mutants and Zombified Stalkers also inhabit the area, making this area hazardous to travel through.
The entrance to the lab is hidden in a very large and well defended base. The external base has only two entrances; the road to the main entrance is guarded by a Monolith sniper. The other entrance is a blown out wall surrounded by radiation levels that are off the charts. Both entrances are guarded, and all areas around the base are monitored by snipers.
  • Cordon

Cordon (Outpost) — a kind of anteroom Area. Here, novice stalkers settle in, pass the first battle baptisms. Some of the newcomers here and die: from anomalies, ambushes of bandits or clusters of military. There are mutants on the location, but these are not the strongest representatives of them: boars, flesh and blind dogs. In an underground bunker behind the village, not far from the army checkpoint, there is a merchant — you can trade with him or take a paid job. In the south of the location there is a military checkpoint and it is not necessary to catch the eye of the soldiers.
  • Group war

    Duty wars with Svoboda.
    Monolith wars with all.
Military wars with all, but saving some neutrality with Duty.
Bandits friends with Svoboda, they didnt rob them.
Mercenary war with all as they want.
  • Detector

A detector is a special device that helps in detecting artifacts, as well as anomalies and radiation foci. There are several types of detectors that can be interacted with in the CH and PO.
  • Bolt

Bolt-a metal fastener with a hexagon head for a wrench. Used by stalkers to check the terrain for the presence of anomalies.
  • Pseudo-mutant dogs

Pseudo-mutant dogs that live almost throughout the Zone. Once it was the wild wolves that lived in the forests of the Zone at the time of the disaster, which became the ancestors of this type of mutant.
  • blind dog

The blind dog is the most familiar representative of the Zone's fauna. Flocks of these dogs can be found everywhere, except in absolutely disastrous places. Mutations and evolutionary adaptations have led to the strengthening of previously weak canine abilities, often at the expense of the usual ones, and the emergence of new ones. As a result, the animals are good at recognizing and avoiding anomalies, radiation, and other invisible dangers that infest the Zone. They jump well.
  • bloodsucker

The bloodsucker is one of the most dangerous mutants in the zone. Runs fast, attacks fast. Becomes invisible and circles around the victim, trying to disorient her
  • Pripyat

Pripyat or Pripiat (Russian/Ukrainian: При́пять, Prýp'jat́) is an abandoned city in northern Ukraine, located just a few kilometers south from the border with Belarus. Named after the nearby Pripyat river, it was officially founded on 4 February 1970, as the ninth and by far the largest nuclear city in the Soviet Union (only the towns of Enerhodar and Sosnovy Bor, as the nuclear cities serving the Leningrad and Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plants are nowadays larger, as they have over 50,000 inhabitants). Originally built to serve as the living quarters for people working the nearby Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant (CNPP), Pripyat later became populated with younger inhabitants which were not connected with CNPP in any way, due to which it was back in the Soviet times often known as ''the city of youth'', since the average age of inhabitants was only 26 years. It was officially proclaimed city in 1979, and had grown to a population of 49,360 by the time it was evacuated, in early afternoon on 27th April 1986 - the day after the Chernobyl disaster, which occurred in the early morning (1:23h/AM) of the previous day, the April 26.
It has become a legend among stalkers, as it is rumored to be full of artifacts, and to be the only way to the heart of the Zone - Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, where the legendary Wish Granter is located. However, with the apparition of the Zone in 2006, the Brain Scorcher psy-emitter broadcasting from four long-range antennas in the nearby Red Forest located to the south of the city made Pripyat completely inaccessible. The city is exclusively populated with ruthless Monolith faction, which is hostile to literally all other inhabitants of the entire Zone.
  • Wolf (stalker)

Wolf takes care of newbie stalkers at the rookie village in the Cordon. He plans to get out of the Zone one day, but never makes it out since, as he puts it, the "rookies need him". He has several right hand men, including Petruha. He also has a brother named Hound, who is also a stalker.
  • Strelok's Group

Strelok has been one of the greatest stalkers the Zone has ever seen, but even he couldn't do many of the feats he achieved without support from others. He maintained a very tight, close knit circle of friends with whom he scoured the Zone, looking for a way to reach the center of the Zone and figure out the nature of the Monolith.
Usually, he traveled with Ghost and Fang. They made several trips beyond the Brain Scorcher and eventually managed to reach the power plant and penetrate the Sarcophagus, locating the access door to the Monolith Control Center. Chased out of it, Strelok was nearly shot to death just moments before an emission, but, at great risk to themselves, his friends managed to haul him off to a safe spot.
  • Rookie Village

The location itself is situated in a small hamlet of seven houses, with Sidorovich's bunker a few meters west of the last building. A stalker named Wolf acts as a leader and mentor among the rookies.
  • Pripyat

Pripyat is a city in northern Ukraine, founded on February 4, 1970 and abandoned by its residents a few days after the Chernobyl accident on April 26, 1986. The city of power engineers is abandoned. It belongs to the Center of the Zone, and therefore, only the "Monolith" fighters and the rare stalkers who wandered there remained there.
  • Carousel

"Carousel" (sometimes "meat grinder" or "bird carousel") — a very dangerous gravitational anomaly; lifts the victims into the air and, after spinning, tears them to pieces.
  • Zombie stalkers

people who have been exposed to strong psi radiation for a long time.
In fact, a zombie carrier/person is a very ordinary person who has lost his personality/self-control by non-natural factors.
As such, they are not a group, but they try to stick together. These creatures lack the higher functions of the brain, and they act solely on residual reflexes and skills. They are incapable of conscious activity and have a high pain threshold. With significant concentrations, they pose a serious threat, they show aggression towards ordinary people.
  • Svoboda

Svoboda is an anarchist group consisting mainly of free stalkers. The goal of the group is to preserve the Zone as a free territory and to resist the monopoly of the authorities. Representatives of Svoboda believe that the Zone cannot be defeated — it is possible and necessary to coexist with it. The zone is a great opportunity for exploration and exploration, and it should in no way be a "beachhead for the military." Svoboda also believes that the Zone cannot be hidden from the rest of the world. They wear a green uniform. The group has black market connections among the merchants in the Zone
  • Sawn-off

Sawn-off-this name in the Zone usually means a sawn-off "horizontal" TOZ-66. The weapon is quite powerful, well suited for hunting. The sawn-off shotgun is much more compact and lighter than the new double-barreled shotgun, but it is only effective in close combat. One of the most common weapons for beginners.
  • Landfill

Landfill — a large area on the site of a burial ground for radioactive equipment. It is the intersection of roads to the main locations in the south of the Zone: Cordon, Bar, Dark Valley, Research Institute "Agroprom" , as well as (in the CHN) to the Red Forest and Military Depots. In PM, the Landfill is owned by bandits, but this does not prevent stalkers from controlling certain areas of it (the cemetery of abandoned equipment and the depot), as well as conducting their own stalker affairs.
  • Goldfish

"Goldfish" - an artifact of a bizarre shape, which really looks like a fish or liver. A legendary artifact because few people have ever seen it. The only people who knew or found this artifact said that it, in its unshielded form, significantly lightens the backpack and clothes. Merchants pay a lot of money for it. It is formed in anomalies: "funnel", "carousel" and " springboard»
  • Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant

Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant (Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant) is a nuclear power plant built in 1977. The most legendary place in the Zone, as it was there that two disasters occurred. Under control of "Monolith"
  • PMm

Makarov pistol, upgraded to a new reinforced 9×18 mm PM cartridge (9×18 mm +P+). It is the most common and cheapest gun in the Zone.
  • 100 Rads

The group "Duty" has cleared a place on the outskirts of the Wild Territory for a base and allows stalkers to rest here. A kind of oasis in the desert — no anomalies, no mutants. There is a dungeon in which the bar "100 Rads" is located: stalkers from all over the Zone gather in it. The bar is run by a local merchant Bartender, so here you can not only communicate, but also sell-buy almost anything. To the north of the bar is a military base, to the south-a dump. Under control of "Duty".
  • Gauss gun

a sniper rifle that uses a system of electromagnets powered by the energy of the "Flash"artifact to disperse the bullet. High accuracy, killing power and almost complete lack of recoil, along with a fairly low rate of fire (after the shot, the capacitors need a few seconds to accumulate a new charge), characterize it as the best sniper rifle in the Zone, but it is extremely difficult to find this rifle in the vastness of the Zone — in the PM you can find only a few rifles, and in the PO it is a unique weapon. Only "Monolith" have this gun.
  • Mercenaries

The most mysterious and secretive group in the Zone, in the existence of which many do not even believe. Some people constantly use the services of mercenaries: professionals in their field, they will quickly deal with any stalker and can even completely eliminate a small group. For their services, apparently, they take a considerable amount of money or artifacts. The location of the base of this group is still a mystery; obviously, it is located somewhere in the depths of the Zone.
  • PDA

PDA (pocket personal computer), aka PDA — is a mobile device that is worn by almost every stalker in the Zone. In addition to the walkie-talkie, the PDA has an interactive map of the Zone, a motion sensor, a Geiger counter, a voice recorder, a clock, an alarm clock, a camera, and much more. The PDA can record the number of stalkers within a radius of up to fifty meters. The PDA does not work during blowouts.
  • Chernobyl disaster

The Chernobyl disaster was a nuclear accident that occurred on Saturday 26 April 1986, at the No. 4 reactor in the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, near the city of Pripyat in the north of the Ukrainian SSR in the Soviet Union. It is considered the worst nuclear disaster in history both in terms of cost and casualties, and is one of only two nuclear energy accidents rated at seven—the maximum severity—on the International Nuclear Event Scale, the other being the 2011 Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster in Japan. The initial emergency response, together with later decontamination of the environment, ultimately involved more than 500,000 personnel.
  • Artifacts

an object of not fully understood physical nature, formed in anomalies. First of all, it is interesting because it affects the carrier in different ways: the influence can be both beneficial and harmful.
The sale of artifacts is theoretically the main source of income for stalkers, most of whom came to the Zone for this very reason. Scientists are very interested in studying the properties of artifacts.
  • Sidorovich

A well-fed, short (or rather small) balding man. He is one of the first merchants in the Zone, the founder of the "trade brotherhood" and the founder of some trade routes. The main clients are newcomer stalkers who have recently come to the Zone. He has many connections, is able to negotiate with a military checkpoint. He is both an authority and an object of stalker humor: on the one hand, a fairly honest business and the fact that it gives many newcomers a chance to survive in the Zone, and on the other hand, he is greedy, selfish and mercantile.
  • Renegades

a small group consisting exclusively of the most despicable individuals of the Zone. Robbers, looters, traitors-former members of other groups who have changed the ideas of their clans. This group has no organized structure and no leader as such. Huddled together in small groups, they hunt for easy prey, hunting for murders and robberies, usually young and inexperienced stalkers. Most often found along the perimeter of the Zone. The remnants of the group either went to new bandit formations, or were destroyed by a Large Outburst.
  • Blowout

A sharp surge of radioactive, abnormal, and psionic activity that destroys all life in the Zone, it you not covered. Comes every day unknowing time.
  • Bandits

criminals and criminals who came to the Zone. They are mainly engaged in robbery and hit-and-run attacks on stalkers. The bandits have a wide variety of weapons and equipment, depending on their experience and the gang they belong to. One of the most numerous groups, but not the most equipped.
  • Clear Sky

Researchers of the phenomena of the Zone, a little-known group that lives somewhere in the Swamps.
No one really knows what their numbers are, what they do, or what their goals are. But those rare stalkers who came from the Swamps tell of guys in sky-blue camouflage.
  • Military

soldiers of regular combat units of the Ukrainian army. As such, they are not a group — they are a state organization. They guard the perimeter of the Zone, often make raids inside the perimeter. Well-trained and well-armed. They destroy mutants and stalkers, but from the latter, corrupt representatives of the military forces sometimes take money for passage.
  • Duty

"Duty" is a paramilitary group, whose members live according to a clear military charter. The ideology of the group is based on the protection of peaceful humanity from the dangers of the growing Zone, and then its complete destruction. "Duty" deals with the internal problems of the Zone: the destruction of mutants and bandits, as well as the study of its offspring, in order to fight them more effectively. At war with freedom. Has a red uniform.
  • Monolith the group

A group that looks more like a religious sect. Its members believe that in the Center of the Zone rests an evolutionary crystal-a Monolith-of unearthly origin. Most stalkers despise the adherents of the "Monolith", considering them"crazy". Since its formation, the group has been preventing the stalkers from advancing to the Center of the Zone, citing the latter's bad intentions towards the Monolith. According to rumors, the Monoliths have a large base somewhere closer to the Center of the Zone,. They wear a blue uniform.
  • Stalker

In the Zone's culture, being a stalker is more of a career than a title as traders like Sidorovich and Barkeep are not considered stalkers by other zone dwellers, even though they are illegally residing inside the zone. Bandits are borderline cases as they are not called "stalkers" by other stalkers, though the authorities label them as such, and they use the word for themselves. The stalker's primary act of "stalking" or "looting", as the military characterizes it, is the smuggling of radioactive and unidentified objects from the zone that is highly dangerous for human health and life. [1] And stalkers seem to have adopted this concept, since exploiting and robbing others do not fall within their usual agendas.
Officially, stalkers are trespassing in a restricted ecological disaster zone and will be shot on sight by the military due to armed encounters in the past. Unofficially, they are the most reliable workhorses for any individual who wants something retrieved in the Zone as they are the most experienced people who can be enlisted. Indeed, without stalkers, curiosities like artifacts would be a rarity outside the Zone and the experiments of the Ecologists would be stalled for a considerable amount of time as the military is hardly able to assist them because of their slipping control, low morale, and lack of sufficient manpower.
Stalkers come to the Zone for a number of reasons. Some go for profit, some for adventure, some seek to get away from the world, to escape the law or personal problems. It follows that former criminals can be found in all of the stalker factions except Duty, though most criminals not part of a bandit clan have long since started new lives.
  • Stone blood

"Stone blood" is a cheap artifact formed as a result of the impact of anomalies on the tissues of a living organism. Weakly effective, often found in the vastness of the Zon
  • Scientists

A set of scientific groups operating on the territory of the Zone. They do not have a central base as such, but they do have two mobile research laboratories. In the Zone, scientists are supported by the military, however, they may not always arrive, so scientists often turn to stalkers for help. They maintain business relations with them, despite their illegal presence in the Zone, scientists pay well for high-quality work, buy artifacts and body parts of mutants at fairly high prices. Wear orange uniform.
  • Anomaly

formations of unknown nature that appeared in the Area after the second explosion. They pose a great danger to the health of any living creature, but they form artifacts, which makes many stalkers explore them.
  • Mutants

the mutated animal world of the Zone. Quite diverse and definitely dangerous. Stalkers know only one type of animal that does not pose a threat — a crow.
  • AKM-74/2

automatic machine of domestic production. Due to its accuracy, ease of operation, reliability and relatively low cost, it has become widespread in the Zone. Perfect for short and medium distance combat up to 100 meters.
It is used by almost all groups-from the military and individuals to mercenaries and "Monolith".
  • Loners

Stalkers exploring the Zone on their own. Most stalkers work this way since being a member of a group takes precious time, and part of the loot. Then there are some who simply prefer solitude and independence.
