The crashing waves of the ocean, illuminated by the bewitching light of a full moon, calls for sacrifice. Your hand trembles slightly as you reach into your back pocket. There, nestled between your wallet and loose change is something that has been missing since childhood: a small keychain that belonged to your mother. She gave it to you when she left home, telling you to keep it safe because one day you might need it to get out of trouble. You know bringing forth this ancient entity is anything but getting out of trouble, but the desire to have your deepest wish granted is too great for you to ignore any longer. This is a chance of a lifetime... a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. And if it all goes wrong? Well, what's the worst thing that can happen...?
As you place it down onto the sand, a nagging thought comes into your head. This won't be enough. It's just a trinket, after all. You stand up, and nervously pace to the trunk of your old car. Popping it open, you see the frightened eyes of an innocent little girl staring back at you from within. "I'm sorry, Alice, but the Wishfish will make everything right. And you're something I hold very dear..."
She begins to struggle, but your bindings hold fast and she cannot escape your grasp as you pull her out of the trunk and towards the approaching, violent tides. As she struggles and cries in pain, you pull out a switchblade from your pocket. Holding it out before yourself like a sword, you say one last prayer as the waves begin to lap against the shoreline: "...forgive me."

You're kneeling in the blood-soaked sand, watching the life slowly seep away from her body. Her screams echo off the beach's rocky walls; they seem so faraway now, drowned out by the crashing tide. Now this is a proper sacrifice. Something the Wishfish will be sure to appreciate...
Far out from the shore, you spot a dark, mangled dorsal fin cutting through the water's surface with ease. It seems almost eager to reach its prey, which is no doubt why you chose that exact moment to make your move on the poor girl. The ocean roars around you both as you watch the creature approach. Yes... it's here, and now you have only to hope that what you gave was enough. For if it isn't, the Wishfish will surely devour you instead of granting your wish.
It isn't far out from the shore now, rapidly approaching. You chant, "O' Wishfish, grant me my deepest desire..." and then quickly close your eyes and wait for your fate. All you can hear is the loud crash of waves against rock, but suddenly there's something else: a wet, sucking noise right beside your ear. Your head whips up in surprise, and meters away stands the malformed Wishfish. Its head is an oddly shaped protrusion, and it stands on two legs bent in odd ways.
