You arrive at the royal stables at the break of dawn. Your first day as stableboy is just beginning. You're curious about what your duties will be, but can't seem to find anyone to ask about them. You walk towards the main entrance.
The royal stables are an ornate and elegant construction of shining white and gold. As a commoner, you feel honored to be allowed inside. You've walked past the beautiful building many times growing up, curious about the mythological creatures it contained. The centaur women (or Centaurides as the bookworms called them) were glorious creatures indeed. Your only sightings of them were when the noblepeople would parade through town with them. You aren't exactly disgusted, but the smell certainly isn't pleasant. Perhaps cleaning up centaur waste would be your first task? The thought had crossed your mind prior to this, and you weren't looking forward to it.
You glance down the long line of stalls. Each stall is no doubt more spacious and accommodating than your own house. Your curiosity gets the better of you, and you begin walking down the hall reading the ornate nameplates on the stall doors. Petra, Athia, Glazel, Soma, Mesmera, the names of the famed centaurs are well known, and being so close to them fills you with awe. Perhaps you could peek inside one of the stalls, just to see if they need any assistance.
