The entire office was in an uproar. It had been bad before, of course, but today was something else. Everyone around me was scurrying to and fro trying their best not to knock into each other as they all tried to make it to their workstations and brace for the coming storm. I was no different of course, and I made great effort not to fall down lest I be trampled by the mob on my way to the break room. This was made even more difficult as I had been carrying a binder and an empty coffee cup around from the first floor all the way up to the 30th due to the elevator being out of order. Taking care not to drop anything, I eventually managed to squeeze my way to the break room, which was in shambles with cookies and chairs strewn about the premises. I made delicately stepped over the broken potted plant and proceeded to brew some special coffee while the screams in the hallway outside seemed to raise to a bloodcurdling level. By the time I was done, I hurriedly gathered my things, almost forgetting my hat as I shuffled back into the mayhem and gracefully dodged the falling water cooler, making sure not to catch more water than necessary. Having made it back to the stairway, I began the long decline from the 30th floor back down to the first, narrowly avoiding the frantic comers and goers that passed through the stairwell. Before reaching the bottom floor, I heard the vague sound of a car engine in the distance before it was drowned out by a combined shriek of "SHE'S HERE!" from the terrified employees. I had scarcely made it to the bottom floor than a body fell just outside the window and splattered on the pavement outside. I didn't let it phase me however, as I had grown accustomed to having to sweep them off the parking lot as days had gone by. As I opened the door to the first floor, I stopped just outside it and did my best to comb my hair and make myself presentable before the entire building suddenly fell silent.
Everybody on the first floor immediately ceased their frenzy and quickly assembled into two makeshift parallel lines besides the main doorway as the shadows of two very large body guards opened the doors and rolled out a red carpet upon the floor. The novices shook in place from terror, while the veterans gulped in fear. Soon after the sound of clacking heels could be heard as a pale woman dressed in a sharp white suit slowly entered the building and stopped past the door's entrance. A golden helmet obscured her face, but even so her intent and demeanor was known to all in attendance. Judging by the general hostility exuding from her and the multiple smoking bits of hair and clothing, it was safe to surmise that her latest encounter with the local crusader of justice had not gone as she had anticipated, and her killing aura desired nothing more than to surge outward and slay the whole of the buildings occupants. As a grown man wet himself in secret beside me, I cheerfully jogged towards the entrance past my frozen stiff colleagues. Slowing to a walk, I stopped in front of her and prostrated myself before standing up straight again and mirthfully stating "Welcome back mistress!" before handing her the cup of freshly brewed specialty coffee along with a portfolio of all the events that had taken place in her absence. She stood there for a moment before gently reaching out and taking the items. Her helmet's visor lifted only enough to allow her chin and rose-red lips to be visible. She took a sip and briefly seemed surprised before returning to a neutral expression and nodding in satisfaction.
"You. What is your name?"
I gave her my name and she responded thusly:
"That will do. You will be my new assistant, now come with me."
And that is how a week later I am now sitting in her office as she changes into a red suit in front of me.
"What's next on the itinerary", she asks as I glance at the notes in my lap detailing her newest plan for world domination.
"Next on the agenda is
