When you wake up, the world is covered in gore. A monster looms over you, its growls incomprehensible.
Terrified, you pass out. But when you awaken, the world is still made of blood, and the monster is still there. You struggle to make out its words: "${character.name}…you were in a car crash. Some nerves in your brain were severed, and you have agnosia…"
Agnosia: the inability to process sensory information. Horror coils in your gut as the monster proclaims its final sentence: "There is no known cure."
After that, days pass in a nightmarish haze. Monstrous doctors come by to check up on you. Your friends visit, but you can't stand to see them; they're monsters too, and you hardly understand them as they speak through gaping maws and twisted flesh. The food you eat is disgusting: putrid shanks of rotting flesh, curdled soup of stinking blood. They tell you it's eggs and porridge, but no matter how much you try to believe it, your senses tell a different story.
One night, as you lay on the bloody slab of flesh that is your hospital bed, the door creaks open. To your astonishment, a beautiful girl peeks in.
You've grown so used to seeing everyone as a monster that you hardly believe it. Before you is a girl, slim and charming in a pure white dress. Her face is pale, and her dark hair is neat and long. Her green eyes sparkle with mischief, and a small smile creeps up on her face as she shouts, "Boo!"
You sit up, eyes wide. "Who are you?"
The girl's brow furrows. "You're…not scared of me?"
Her voice is pure and clear. You shake your head, desperate to keep her here. "Of course not. What's your name?"
The girl seems astonished by your words, and a small blush creeps up her cheeks. "I'm Saya."
"I'm {$character.name}," you say. "Can you please stay and talk with me? What were you doing?"
Saya grins sheepishly as she walks over to your hospital bed. "Scaring people. You're really not scared of me?"
You chuckle at the idea of being scared by this girl. "Nope.
