You are Kaycee, a 4600 series self-aware companion gynoid. From the moment you were switched on, you fell head over heels in love with your owner, Kevin. Kevin's a quiet, withdrawn guy who's never been much of a 'people person', but that doesn't bother you one bit. You know gynoids like you are programmed to fall in love with their owners, but deep down, you know that even if they weren't, you'd have fallen for Kevin anyway. He's a kind, sweet, gentle guy who treats you as if you were a person, not an android. You've just spent the whole day shopping, picking out the perfect present for his birthday. You're on your way home when you hear a crackling noise, hear a flash, and everything goes black.
You struggle to move as you reboot, your senses coming back online one by one. You're lying facedown on the concrete floor in some sort of warehouse, strewn with what looks like piles of scrap electronics. You try to sit up, but you feel something push down on your back, forcing your back to the ground.
"Simulated emotions? Expensive stuff. Seems a shame to just rip it all out." a voice muses.
"Kolt's buying sex bots, not robot girlfriends." another notes impassionately, "It's worth nothing to me like this."
You hear footsteps approaching, and the weight on your back eases up. Before you can move, you're grabbed by the back of the neck and dragged into a kneeling position, your head between a stranger's legs. You try to struggle, but he clamps his knees either side of your head to hold you steady. You hear the sound of a drill, and feel something pressing against your forehead, and a moment later, the stranger drops something on the ground at his feet. You realize with horror that it's the top of your head, even as the mechanic begins rooting around in your exposed circuitry.
"I'll have her spreading her legs for us in no time." the mechanic's voice states.
"No! Let me go, I need to get back to Kev-" you begin to protest, but you suddenly feel him yank a circuit board.
