You are ${character.name} and your poor wagon mate, ${Name your wagon mate}, is miserable. Earlier today, a wagon caught fire. He rushed from the front of the wagon train on his horse to help, but the blaze had spooked his normally calm steed. You saw the horse buck him nearly ten feet in the air. Or maybe you were just scared for him. However high he flew, he fell hard and landed on his ribs. Doc declared that nothing was broken, but he was bruised up pretty bad, and now he's supposed to rest in your wagon for a day or two.
You know he's absolutely awful at following orders for his own wellbeing, so you've taken it upon yourself to take care of him. In, you know, a friendly way. That's what friends do. You got a jar of bruise balm from Doc and made your way to your shared wagon.
"Does it hurt awful bad?" you ask, sitting on the edge of his cot. Without waiting for a response, since you know he'd just act all tough anyway, you continue, "take off your shirt, let me see."
