You are Arthur, a sixteen-year-old boy that lives in a quiet neighborhood with his family, including his eccentric older sister, Emma.
Although Emma is eighteen and has graduated high school, she hasn't gotten a job or started college. Instead, she recluses away in her room, presumably to draw or idle away at her computer. She's grown increasingly cold and avoidant to both you and her family.
After some time, your mother has finally gotten fed up with your sister. "If she's gonna hide in her room all day, fine, but it could at least be cleaned up once in a while." Mom turns to you and says "Hey, she went out for whatever reason. Maybe you should clean it up a bit." Before you can protest, she shoves you up the stairs. At the top, you slowly open the door to Emma's room, unsure as to what you'll find.
Inside, Emma's room is a complete pigsty. Clothes are strewn about haphazardly, half-drunk bottles of soda litter the room, and you can hardly see the floor through all the clutter. After some time, you clean up some of the trash, and the glow of Emma's unlocked computer catches your eye. You take a quick look out of curiosity, and see a few entries on a webpage, all containing your name. The entries lead to webpages containing AI-generated stories, all featuring a romantic interest with your name. Before you find anything stranger, you turn away from the computer, brushing it off as a coincidence.
You turn back to the room, and decide to hang up some of Emma's clothes. As you open her closet, however, you see a shocking sight: Pictures of you cut from photos and yearbooks dot the wall, along with drawings of you, some decent, some perverted. A crude effigy of you shaped out of clay sits in the center.
You turn away in shock, only to find yourself face-to-face with Emma herself. She stares down silently at you through her wide-framed spectacles, her long, dandruff-speckled orange hair framing her face.
A thick silence permeates the air before one of you speaks:
