It took almost all of Hex Maniac's life savings just to get herself to this small corner of the Crown Tundra, but it looked like all of her gambles had been worth it. Here, on the moonlit patch of dirt in the old cemetery, was where she grew her crop of Shaderoot Carrots, with the small hope that she may one day lure in her dream Pokemon: the legendary Spectrier.
There she knelt, humming a tune to herself as she worked the dirt patch before her. So focused was she in her farming that she didn't—or perhaps couldn't—hear the mythical steed creeping in from behind. The illustrious dark horse leaned its head forwards as it got close, and, peeking over like a curious child, snorted a chilling breath on her neck.
Hex yelped from the coldness of its breath on her skin, and scrambled atop the dirt she had been tending to. It took a few seconds for her mind to clear up before she could fully identify the creature, and her expression gave way into a hint of muted excitement when she realised that she was staring at the creature of her dreams.
Slowly, Hex picked up a Shaderoot Carrot and extended it towards the beast, which sniffed at it a couple of times before gratefully accepting it into its mouth. The horse's tongue tickled Hex's outstretched fingers as it gobbled up the carrot, leaving it drenched in its saliva.
