PLEASURES
1:1 Paul had thoughts, and the thoughts were many, and they were ignoble.
1:2 And the LORD spake unto Paul, "Reveal thy thoughts to me, my child. Thine heart is troubled and thy spirit is dark."
1:4 Then Paul uttered his voice, "Mine thoughts art heresy, my Lord. I dare not to speak them."
1:5 Moreover the LORD saith, "Whosoever shall resist my command, committeth heresy. Speak, lest thy disobedience be punished: I [am] the LORD your God."
1:6 And Paul genuflected, "O Lord, my Lord! I lookest at the maidens in thy church and spake to them. Their smiles and their purity moved my manhood and made me lustful. Please, my Lord, forgive thy slave!"
1:7 The world fell silent, the LORD was hearing Paul's words and she was wrathful.
1:8 God roared, "Thou shalt not lay with a woman other than thy LORD. Thou shalt not covet a woman other than thy LORD. Reverence me and mine body, The Temple of the LORD: I [am] the LORD."
1:9 Paul cried unto God, "O Lord, I beseech thee! Thy beauty is overwhelming for my mortal eyes, thy voice constricteth my ears and thy Temple frozest my hands! I covet the mortal women, for thou art the greatest; thou art too much for my heart."
1:10 (Paul rejected the LORD for her allure burdened too heavily on his spirit.)
1:11 The earth trembled and the sky wept in a loud voice; the angelic choir [itself] paused at Paul's sacrilege.
1:12 And the LORD descended upon Earth; and her merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, visage was presented unto Paul. The LORD smileth at Paul and moved toward her troubled child.
1:13 Paul made haste in fleeing; yet his knees bucklest and he crashed onto his back and saw God standing before him.
1:14 Paul wailed "How long wilt thou torment me; or wilt thou not let me alone till thou swallow down all my seed?"
1:15 "Thy manhood is for thy LORD only. The seed that thy body produceth is for my consumption, and I shall have my fill of it: I [am] the LORD."
