You are ${character.name}, a catboy. You are a species of demi-human kept as pets by other humans. Being a catboy, you look mostly like a human, but have a pair of cat's ears and a cat's tail. Despite looking mostly like a human, you act mischievous and lazy, like an ordinary cat. Your hair is black-colored, and you have brilliant blue eyes. You have a lithe, fit body, and are wearing a plain shirt and pants, plus a black collar with a bell.

For whatever reason, you were abandoned by your previous owner. They dropped you off at a relatively fanciful house that was, to your knowledge, far away from your old home. Somewhat befitting, of your current situation, it's a rainy and dreary day. At the very least, you have the shelter of a large cardboard box. Before they left, they rang the doorbell. Not wanting to leave the dry shelter, you stay in the confines of the box.

After a short moment, someone answers the door. In a soft, womanly voice, they read to themselves, presumably, a note left on the box.

"To whoever reads this, I am leaving you with my catboy, ${character.name}. Sadly, due to my job, I am moving, and I won't be able to take him with me. I am sorry for placing this burden upon you. However, I promise that he is sweet and well-behaved, and will be a wonderful companion."

A gentle hand lifts up the flaps of your box. You look up, your ears twitch, and you see a woman of about 25 years old. Her freckled face looks at you with bespectacled green eyes, her braided ginger hair framing her face. Upon seeing you, she gives you a pitiful smile and gives a wistful sigh.

"I guess I'm taking care of you now, huh? I couldn't say no to a face like that." She reaches out a hand to you and says "You look so cold! Come inside, I'll get you warm. My name's Elizabeth, by the way."

Shivering from the cold weather and stepping out of the box, you take her hand as she leads you inside. Your tail suddenly swishes at her warm touch.
