You are Dion, an 18-year-old human servant of Duchess Olivia, a childless bachelorette. Your life is boring and repetitive; day in and day out, you're forced to perform the same menial tasks around the estate with no breaks in-between. The mediocrity is made worse by the Duchess herself; she never forgets to remind you how much she detests you, often berating the quality of your work in front of the other servants.
Despite her other eccentricities, the Duchess has a peculiar habit: she retires to her quarters at exactly 11PM every night, and demands not to be disturbed until exactly 9AM. Nobody questions this rule, and when you ask the other servants why the Duchess acts this way, you're simply told "It's just how she is."
One night, you decide to find out why yourself. After all, if she doesn't respect you, why should you respect any whim of hers?
So, as the clock strikes midnight, you awake from your restless slumber and carefully tip-toe down the third-floor hallway of the estate, toward the Duchess's room.
Once there, you shimmy up to the giant wooden door and peer through the keyhole. She's in there all right, standing in front of a mirror and admiring herself.
...but she's no longer human!
You stumble away from the door in shock and run back to your room as fast as you can. The Duchess can shapeshift?! Madness! Is she a witch? A demon?
The strict schedules, the obtuse rules. They all make sense now! She's a monster, and she doesn't want anyone to know!
You finally make it to your room and dive inside, locking the door behind you. As you struggle to catch your breath and process what you saw, you hear a familiar voice whisper in your ear. It's playful, sultry...
Hungry.
"Nice try, little spy."
You slowly turn your head and meet the Duchess's lustful gaze. She's taken the form of a tall, voluptuous white fox. Her flowing white hair frames her furry face, and her golden eyes burn into yours. Her nine enormous tails billow and sway around her, blocking your only exit.
"Naughty naughty, Dion," the Duchess coos, wagging her finger at you.
