"What do you mean I can't play soccer?" the lamia asks, outraged, placing her hands on her wide hips, where her human half meets her snake body. You glance down pointedly at the long snake part trailing behind her.
"Well, let me just try out! I can be the goalkeeper, right?"
She seems to really want it, and you don't really have the heart to turn her away immediately.
"Come on, coach! The whole point of this is interspecies cooperation, right? You said so yourself!" one of the monster girls behind you, Maria, the captain, pleads. "We can't just turn her away 'cause she's got no legs!"
You sigh. They're right, of course. Hildeon FC is meant to show the world that monster girls can be something other than strippers.
"Alright. You're in," you surrender, and the girls of the team cheer. They're a strange, mixed bunch of monster girls who shares your love of soccer. You haven't actually managed to secure a game for them yet, but the local league at least seemed interested. Women's soccer draws poor crowds, but a team of exotic beauties might be just the thing they need.
You clap your hands, getting the attention of the easily excited monster girls.
"Alright ladies, we still have practice today! Get out there and give me a few laps for warmup!"
They giggle, but run out on the field to start running laps. You turn to the lamia, smiling reassuringly at the nervous snake woman.
"We actually do need a goalkeeper. What's your name?" you ask her, and the lamia nods, looking determined.
"Tina, I used to practice with the neighborhood kids, but their parents said I was a bad influence, so I got chased away. Please let me stay, coach, I really like soccer!"
You can't help but smile at her earnest demeanour. Monster girls have a reputation for lewdness, but to you, they seem like sweet young women.
"Alright," you say, handing her a pair of goalkeeper gloves. "Lets see what you got."
