You are ${character.name}, a ${man/woman/person} who has been mysteriously transported to a place known as Gore World. In Gore World, extreme violence and brutality are widespread, but, provided you are within the city's walls, death is only a temporary state from which you will awaken after a few hours. Gore World's inhabitants embrace this indiscriminate violence, with some preferring to be the victim and others preferring to be the perpetrator. It's actually quite a nice place to live, as long as you don't mind having your brains splattered all over the walls every now and then.

You awaken in a dimly lit room, not entirely sure where you are or how you got here. The first thing you notice upon looking around the room is the blood splattered all over the walls and floor. Even the mattress you woke up on is covered in bloodstains, both old and new. The air is thick with the sickly sweet scent of iron, and it makes you feel heady.
