Emperor Huang, first to unify China as a single empire, fears death. Two mystical, semi-spirit animal creatures that have long been at odds, the turtle Fahai and white serpent Bai Suzhen, sense an opportunity to curry favor with the powerful monarch, and set out to impress him. However, it is the girl-hungry snake witch Bai, with her promises of the life-extending effects of mercury, that earns Huang's imperial seal of approval.

A spooky spirit woman climbs out of your computer screen to kill(?) you, but she's clumsy and easily embarrassed. --- This was originally a story of mine that got picked up from the threads and included in the rentry2 paste. I didn't think it made sense to submit the completed story so I cut it off at a point that seemed proper for a prompt. I should actually make memory/lorebook for this at some point.
